Crouch? You have to be joking! He was brilliant on Friday night and plays on champion players week in week out so of course he's not going to get a lot of the ball himself but he does the job required of him and thats enough.

I wouldn't contemplate getting rid of Crouch.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

he's one of our few players with genuine pace and he's bloody reliable.
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

No way is willow done yet, he is vital to our midfield structure, he has great skills, always puts his body on the line, and then there is the experience factor. I think he will be glad when this year is over, but I reckon he will play on next year.

he should play on but i suspect it might be time for him to graze on pasture in a pocket however. i hope i'm wrong as he's class all the way at his best.

Crouch? I would love to see Crouchy get a free rein in the centre and see what he can do. I saw his game as one of our best players on Friday night. Would love to see him bursting out of the centre, like a true rover can.

Crouch is better as a defensive player and running off them to provide rebound. His disposal is pretty ordinary so will never make a good 'true' rover IMO.

Williams is a shadow of his former self. It's not how often he gets the ball but rather what he does with it. He has lost pace and is not getting the scoring shots we are used to seeing. 3.3 from 15 games this year!

Maybe Roosy will announce Willo is retiring at 3/4 time during a future game.

Have you ever thought that perhaps he has been used in a different role this year.
What do you expect from a player who has sustained a broken collarbone, strained calf and god knows what else.
The coaching staff must think he is of value if they continue to select him without a second thought with all these injuries.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing but who knows how his year would have turned out if he hadn't been injured not to mention the kangaroo's player eye gouging him.
The game turned slightly when williams was off the ground fri night.

A role where he moves slowly, delivers ineffectively and fails to score goals? I guess that's why Maxfield had to step aside, there's only room for one of them.

I never said there weren't reasons for his slump. There are always reasons a good player loses form. You don't get a stats multiplier for being injured or underdone.

So you know that they select him without a second thought? Do you have the meeting minutes?

I fully expected that Crouch would be the one to raise eyebrows.

His inclusion is in the event of a Western Bulldogs like blossoming of our youngsters. He'd be much less likely to be gone in 2007 than Mathews or Fosdike.
