Having looked at it now, it is OK. Quite good, even if the logo is too big.
I'd prefer a red guernsey with a white Swans (like the WA state guernsey).
Or what about a red guernsey with an SFC, similar to Sturt in the SANFL?
Or a red guernsey with a white sash?
I used to wear the white Centenary Guernsey, but the parallel red bars no longer remain parallel when the guernsey sits over my tummy.

This jumper has a Red Back, with the front being the old Red V one with the TOTC logo. Remove the logo and its a fair jumper. If we are to introduce a "away" strip like the AFL want all clubs to do, then this has to be it.Once was, now elsewhereComment

I think the Team of the Century jumper is awful! Maybe if the logo was smaller it might look okay.
And i don't agree that we need a different jumper for away and home, one is enough.

one thing i really like is the SMFC on the back, i think this should be adopted on all the jumpers

Looked pretty good on the players, IMHO
- minus the TOTC logo of course. And oddly enough, even the Silly Socks didn't look as bad as usual! If we chuck a white back on it, we could use it as an alternate design (when playing against Brisbane, or really any team with red in their design).
Thumbs up to the decision to acknowledge the past in the SMFC reference too.

Now that I have seen the jumper in the flesh I really like the look of it.
I agree the logo is a little big and the SMFC on the back sure gave a touch of nostalgia along with the traditional sox.

Having seen the jumper live last night I can only say, sensational. It is the best jumper in the comp.
It made us look really smart and we played accordingly. As someone else said, the socks seemed to go well with the jumper.
I prefer a red back.
This looks like it will be a one off , but why could we not just take the "Team of the Century" wording off. Beats the heck out of our current strip, and I would be quite happy to have it as our "Melbourne Jumper".Comment
