    It's really unfair and very poor form that some so-called "supporters" of the game refer to the umpires as "maggots".

      In the other games on the weekend, I don't recall seeing any deliberate OOB being paid (a good thing, they can have a huge impact on a game and are so subjective) and very few free kicks paid for high contact (which was a little disconcerting for the hard-ball-get players but kept the game flowing). If they could chill out and let the ruckmen go at it a bit more, this under-officiating would be not a bad way to go IMHO. Plus it can result in massive brawls which are good for footy.

        Made no difference to the result of the game, but I saw a couple of the softest Over The Shoulders that I have ever seen. It was literally finger tips of the shoulders while chasing down the wing. I hate that soft rubbish. It is against the spirit with which the rule is designed.
