AFAIK both PF games are on Saturday to minimize any disadvantage for both teams heading into the GF. The only question is whether or not the game is in the afternoon or evening. Since the other PF is at Subiaco, my guess would be that the PF in Melbourne will be in the afternoon. Just a guess of course.

I wouldn't be so sure of that, There will be huge support from us melbourne supporters and those travelling from sydney. Also I don't think the saints have won many fans over with their blatantly unfair benefiting of the draft.

And it seems that alot of St Kilda supporters have very short memories and take great pride in letting other teams' supporters who haven't had such a good time of things the last year or two know about it. So they haven't won many admirers there either.

Of course we can still win it, we are still in the finals series, we strecthed wcoast and nearly beat them playing at around 70% - clean up our execution and were still a gun side.
Cant stand this negativity considering we still have a great shot at winning the flag! Bring it on!
And the man who started it, the Schneiderman, can kick his third for the quarter. And the swans are in the Grand Final!

I am so confident that we will beat Geelong that I just booked a flight to Melbourne departing on the morning of Sat 17 Sept and returning to Sydney that evening, having thought carefully that we would most likely play the Saints on Sat arvo (with West Coast playing Adel or Port Sat night). If I'm wrong, I can change my booking and pay the fee for doing so. And if I'm right, I just snagged a cheap fare down for the preliminary final.

What do you classify as 'cheap'?

I am still very confident. I think the extra game will do our boys a bit of good actually - keep them running around and not thinking too much of making the GF just yet...
