I'm sorry but calling those of us that cannot afford a membership "Non-loyal" is disgusting. Not everyone has the sort of money required to be able to be a member, And to those of you whinging that you cant sit in your usual seat, Get over it , this is nothing new, this is always the case at Swans Finals, and I am sure it is the case interstate as well.

EVERY Supporter of the Swans is more than welcome. The standard of loyalty is not whether you pay for membership, its whether do you stick solid when things are not so rosy.

As far as ticketing goes Im not bothered where I sit as long as its somewhere inside the ground and if it happens to be close to where I usually sit then well and good.

Yes it is. Note that I didn't call anyone "Non-Loyal", nor did I say anything detrimental about non-members. Furthermore, I didn't even refer to Swans members because the ticketing is available to Geelong members also, and if they are not checking memberships, then to the entire public.

My point is that anyone who rocks up to a particular venue can buy a ticket, and those who actually have paid up their memberships (and thus provided stable financial support for the club) lose their rather limited "benefit". Its not a slight on those who choose not to take up a membership, so please stop reading things into my post and putting words in my mouth.

Didnt take me long at all to buy tickets during my lunch break at the Ticketek office in Angel Place in the city. Not many people know that its there. I think $70 is a bit steep for all the covered stands. As MA Noble tickets were not available for sale to members who normally sit there (I hope SCG members turn out in force) I'm sitting up in the top deck of the Messenger stand, which cots $55.

Same thing happened to me - I went to Ticketek to buy the tickets. Pretty long queue at the UNSW outlet even at 9:30 - and they were checking memberships, everyone in the queue I was in had at least one.

I'm in Section 3, which I just checked out on the SCG website - it's not right up the top, so shouldn't be too far away I hope.
Actually didn't want the premium seats originally, would have liked to be closer after being in the O'Reilly this season (which I like, but wanted a change), but they said they couldn't access the O'Reilly or Brewongle concourse at all! After reading this I probably should have asked for a bay - but anyway, looks like it still would have been premium seating anyway since there's no 'prime' category (so I was told).

Happy enough with the seats I've got now - it makes a nice change to watch the game from different positions now and then.

The top of the Messenger is a well kept secret as far as good viewing for less price goes (for both cricket and AFL) - but there is the disadvantage of no shelter from the weather.

I had the foresight to check www.bom.gov.au before going out to buy the tix:

The queue at Revesby workers club began at 5am. There was about 50 in line when the doors opened at 9.00am

I got 11 seats ( with my 2 mates) row t of the O'reilly

I was 8th in line and it took 45 minutes

They staff were keying in numbers of the members tickets

The fans in line were quite ok except for one really rude lady who abused the staff for only having 1 terminal - unecessary



The Messenger Stand is Ok

Roscoe I was at RWC as well - got there at 9.30am and finally got my tickets at 12.15pm - they said that some people had been sleeping there to be first in the queue.

You poor buggers. My wife walked into Hum on Oxford St at 9.05am and had the tickets by 9.25am. The only thing that slowed things up was that they are a new outlet so the ticketing system was not working until 9.15am.

Lucky for me I had to be in Albury at 9AM for work. Able to buy tickets at Ticketek Outlet at 9AM. No queue at all. I was able to select the seats I wanted. They checked each membership card thoroughly. Just lucky I guess otherwise I would have had to phone and wait. Seems a shame that many swans fans will miss game due to limited amount of tickets available while SCG members who may only attend finals get into ground. I suppose it is their ground and we are only tennants but seems a shame all the same. I hope you all get tickets and get a chance to cheer cheer the red and the white.

I got mine at the Hills Centre at Castle Hill - got there at 8:30 to see a line of about 70 people. Got my tix at about 10:15, and the line behind me was no shorter than when I came so they're probably still selling them.
Several people in the queue had no idea how many tickets they could get. I got an email from the Swans about 10:30 last night and saw the link on the AFL website, but plenty of people said they never got it; and were relying on an earlier email that said they may get up to 4 tickets per member.

Interesting about the weather forecast. There was a rumour going up & down the ticket queue that torrential rain was forecast for Friday, thankfully that's not the case.
You get some interesting rumours in ticket queues. Another one doing its way down the line was that the Brewongle Stand had been sold to corporates and was already sold out before the members booking period started.

I was first in line at the Liverpool store and the best available in the Brewongle was Bay 2 which means Bays 3-5 (towards the centre of the ground) were already gone by 9.01. So I would say the Redbacks and the corporates got those bays already allocated

As I previously posted I got tickets at Albury at 9am. Good seats in Brewongle stand. This would not support the rumour. Corporates would have boxes as usuall. We are not redback members. Just plain old full members (Premiership Club but this only gives advatage for GF..I hope)

Ticketek at UNSW was selling tickets today without the requirement of a membership. Had a non-member friend pick up 2 tickets. She was even offered tickets in Bay 22 (the CS bay).
