Key midfielder Paul Williams, who corked his thigh in the last quarter, has recovered well and is expected to play, according to club doctor Nathan Gibbs.
Luke Ablett sustained a minor medial ligament strain but Gibbs said he was also on the mend.

Anyone who wants to attend this match on Friday night will be able to get a ticket.
My guess is that the game will NOT be a sellout. 5 days to sell an AFL match in Sydney ?!? We had two weeks to sell the Brisbane prelim to years ago and couldn't do that.

Actually it would be quite embarassing if we DONT sell it out. This is still our best chance to win a flag since 1996, even with the loss last week.

Not when you are trying to buy mutliple tickets, from what I read.

I don't see why it wouldn't be. It is a final after all. 70,000 at Telstra is nothing to sneer at BTW.

But we did sell enough tickets in the first two days to more than fill the SCG. Of course, the rules on buying tickets were different 2 years ago, but the demand should still be there.

If you think that Bart, then you are in for a rude shock.
Geelong supporters are in the top % of clubs who like to travel and even though it is a Friday night you would expect around 3,000 to 4,000 to make the journey up. Take away the SCG members and what you have left is only enough for Swans members (not including Melbourne based members either).
I reckon you will find by tonight there will be only less than 5,000 tickets still left for the game.

I only made the decision to travel up there today as I had to arrange time off work and transport so I won't be able to purchase tickets until tommorow morning, I'm a melbourne based member but if I don't get tickets I certainly won't be applauding the decision to hold the game at the SCG.

Cant you purchase tickets tomorrow morning in Ballarat?
