Not as crazy as the finals record between Hawthorn and Richmond. Despite playing in many finals series at the same time (think 1970's), these two sides have never met in a final. A different result in any of about a dozen finals would have had them metting in a final.

South Melbourne's last match against Geelong in 1933 was in the last round, when Geelong were second on the ladder and South Melbourne third. South needed to win to get the double chance. South's 109-point shellacking gave them second spot, the double chance, and continued the winning streak that culminated in the 1933 premiership.
