Barry adopted a subtley quizzical expression and asked which decision he was talking about.
Was it the same quizzical expression he adopted when they actually paid the free against him?!

I was surprised that once the ump indicated who the free was for Leo accepted it and ran after his opponent who was heading for the Goal square.
I think he may have been just a little bit more running after his opponent who was heading for the Goal square than accepting the decision
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time
I can't believe Kirky missed out. But I suppose the under-representation of Swans can be put down to the Roos mantra that we aren't as talented as other teams, have no superstars, work hard as a team... blah blah blah... you know the script.

Croad's selection is puzzling to me as he seems to have played games up forward as well, although I really haven't seen enough Hawks games to comment fully. However, I struggle to think of another CHB whose claims couldn't be denied.
I'd pick Craig Bolton before Trent Croad - I think he's more all-round effective. But then I'm biased.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Don't know how Craig Bolton could have missed out on that team for Croad - people who don't follow the Swans might look at him and think he's undersized but he has got to be one of the best one-on-one defenders in the AFL these days. Sure, he usually gets the second-best forward after Leo, but he is rarely beaten.
