    The EAB Golden Headband Awards

    Hola all!

Over coffee recently at our favourite coffee house, Erin and myself had a brilliant idea (well, perhaps brain explosion is a better term...), and the EAB Golden Headband Awards were created.

The EABs celebrate the finer points of the Swans' 2005 Home and Away campaign; the frivolous, the fanciful and the funereal.

It's an opportunity for the dedicated fans to stand up and be counted on the important issues, such as best mark and best bum.

    Vote here

As Season 2005 draws to a close, this Friday will be the last opportunity to stage the EAB Golden Headband Awards. The ceremony will begin at 5:45pm at Gosh Coffee at Fox Studios. All from RWO are welcome to attend.

Happy voting, and hope to see you there,

    Erin and Bec (EAB)
And you can't find nothing at all,
If there was nothing there all along.

This is an important issues guys. I urge you to vote. Can't let an opportunity like this, to have YOUR say on the best bits, go astray.

Sorry, It's a bit to girly for me.

        Best bum?

        I'll stick to the TLM.

Against my better judgement, I actually went and voted.

Don't ask me who I put down for best bum. WILD RAGING STAMPEDING BULLS couldn't drag it out of me.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

Please tell me you got one of the female Swans fans in the office to answer that question on your behalf???

            I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Yeah, I realised afterward that really should have been an optional question....

Oh well, it's all just a bit of fun.

                Found a typo in Q5:

In which game did the Swans give the best all-round performance?
                Round 2, v. Brisbane
I agree with Dave - it's going to be an uphill battle competing with the prestige of the TLM! Like the idea though.

Im VERY disappointed with some of the options guys! Unfortuantely I'm going to be late to the ceremony by about 15mins!
And the man who started it, the Schneiderman, can kick his third for the quarter. And the swans are in the Grand Final!

I hope it is the Golden Headband in tribute to the constant head trauma our lads seem to suffer and not because one of you was actually wearing a headband at your favourite coffee shop. If it is the latter then that is so not-even-10-years-ago-because-it-has-never-been-okay.

The Golden Headband actually came about due to our firm belief that several of the players would perform better if they were wearing a Ryano-style Alice band, such as LRT pre-haircut. The conversation kept going, to haircuts, and rather unfortunately led to the Golden Headband awards.

Well that's okay then. As long as the two of you weren't wearing headbands.

                            That may continue indefinitely.

Doubtful. I'll just find underpaying menial work that relates in no way to my degree. But at least I'll be able to tell the people asking for fries with that who Eamon deValera was .
