Chapman most likely to still be out.

As for killing the Cats, I think their win over the Dees masks their average form a bit. The Dees were well and truely spent. They were playing on spirit alone in turn masking their grave lack of form.

Geelong got a team that had no form that could conjure no more spirit. That was all spent just making the 8.

King should have been rubbed out for the rest of the year. That kick was disgraceful.

Geelongs win over Melbourne will give them confidence but is no measure of form.

Our win over Geelong earlier this year is no measure of team against team given the injuries and flu that plagued the cats last trip.

SCG over Telstra gives no advantage to either team. I think those stats are pretty useless. As Williams said of Ports record against the Roos - how far back do you want to go?

Chapman is unlikely - this is good news for us.

Mooney is in top form - bad news. Do you tag him?

I also have no idea what he meant here....I suspect he doesn't either.

Put Goodes on him. Out and out contest of strength, speed and stamina. I have faith Adam can win out.

I thought it was widely believed that Goodesy is not a defensive minded player and that he is at his best when given free reign to be creative. Sure, if Mooney rucks around the ground Adam should go with him but as a ball winner not a negator.

That's my point. If Goodes gets the ball, Mooney wont have it

My gut feeling is that the Cats are counting on our players to be tired from the trip to Subiaco. That's why they fancy their chances against the Swans.

And legitimately so. We really can't discount the subi factor, nor the fact last weeks game was a tough contest. I really am quite nervous about Friday.

                        Two things:

                        1. Finals is different. You know each week is your last shot, and that lifts the team enough to get over the weariness (which is probably more mental anyway)
                        2. Geelong have to travel this week. And they dont traditionally do that well.

I am confident, but the tone of the match early will set it all up. If we come out firing, I expect to win by 5-6 goals. If not then we will sneak over by only 1-2, which will hurt our confidence going into the GF-before-the-GF the following week.

I think that's been shown to be untrue. "Seven of a possible nine times the team that travelled to Perth in the last round lost its first final."

I don't disagree with the point in the article, but it helps when they get their facts straight. In 1996 we beat WC at the SCG in rd 22 (and how wet was it!!). This actually further serves to underline their point though - one less win.

First 20 minutes on Friday will seal our fate.

Our last couple of games at the SCG/Telstra have seen us smash the opposition early on and effectively ice the game.

5 goals to zip or 6 goals to 1 and we will have sapped any belief they have in winning the game. Geelong on the road are fragile.

Crowd needs to be at fever pitch from the start and the boys angry enough to go for the kill early.
