Four Radio Stations to cover the SCG Clash

These are the 4 radio stations in Sydney that will bring you ball by ball descriptions of the First Semi Final between Sydney and Geelong.

    Triple M 104.9
    2UE 954
    ABC 702
    Radio 2 1611
This one's for the old bloods and the new bloods:

The cricket's on again isn't it this Friday? Then the footy will be on ABC Newsradio 630 not ABC 702 (as per usual for Sydney on Friday nights).

I never hear radio calls (at least for local games) because I'm always at the ground. I can't imagine the four stations would have much of a listening audience to carve up between them. 40,000 potential listeners at the SCG....others being distracted by some other game being played at Stadium Oz. Good luck to them for trying. I hope it proves worthwhile......2UE is simply carrying Rex Hunt's 3AW call so it's not like they're really going out of their way, and I don't think they can call the rugby league so did they have much of an option?

I usually listen to the radio at the game, that way you can find out who is on the bench, what injuries there are, what the dubious free kicks are for.

Don't bother with the 3AW feed on 2UE, Rex Hunt must be the most frustrating commentator I have heard. I'll stick with MMM or ABC if the reception is good.

Be great, if you had four ears.

I always listen to the ABC's calls. It is the only time you ever get to hear a call biased in Sydney's direction. David Murphy loves the Swans.

At this stage of the season, Newsradio will most likely carry the 774 ABC Melbourne coverage with Drew Morphett & Gerard Whately calling the action.

Stick to MMM, anyway. Even with Mike "I wish I was Brian Taylor" McClean and Russ Barwick!
Go Swannies!! Triple M Rocks Footy!!
