What would he know yet about who we might pick up in the trade? Talk about trying to get your tuppence worth in the press.Occupational hazards:

My view of Parkin has taken a considerable dive over comments he's made over the past week. I think he's right up there in the "Pile of Tripe" mentioned in another thread.

Parkins and Walls are two of the worst 'experts' - both ex-Carlton coaches too...Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Well, that's it then. Those we think have lifted their game this season (Nog, Bucky, Voges, etc) have now officially stalled.Comment

Are we really that concerned if we finish third again next year? Cant possibly get shafted in the umpiring like that again in the QF!Our Greatest Moment:

The exercise of predicting next year's season before this one has even ended is a bit daft.
That said, I don't think there is a whole lot wrong with Parkin's assessment of Sydney in this respect. We have kids yet to play that some of us on here believe will become good players, but so does every club. We don't have a trio of Judd, Riewoldt or J Brown players waiting to emerge however. And our senior core is mature and unlikely to improvement in anything other than small increments.
Maintaining our current standard of play is not a blight given that we have been one of the best handful of teams this year and are still in with a shot of finishing as the best club in the land.Comment

Sounds like a comment for the sake of making one. Parkin should concentrate on 2005 and keep his trap shut until the pre season at least."As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk

Once I learn how to link to other threads, I'll have a go at it ... for now, just click your way to it ...
And I park my "Chernside" full throttle, with extra brake power (both feet) and normally end up sideways...Comment
