We Beat The Maggies
- Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in a world they've been given, than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact, it's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration, it's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing! -

Soooo true. Less of an overall impact this week but his two goals had class and confidence stamped all over them.Originally posted by Jeffers1984

Superb win by the boys. They were absolutely exhausted at the start of the final quarter - guess they'd been running so hard for the rest of the game, so that's actually quite a good sign - but great to see them not panic when the Wobbles started to get a bit of a run-on.
Based on that sighting - and a few others I've seen this year - the Collingwood midfield looks very slow, both by foot and by brain. You could see the difference in the final quarter when they started to pump the ball in quickly, and they do have talented forwards. So why do they chip the ball around so much?
I know it's a bit churlish after such a good win - and I'm not really complaining, I guess, but as a Swannie I must have had my heart in my mouth at least a dozen times during that game as they tried to run the ball out of defence. On the whole it worked quite well, but there were several occasions when they were doing their damnest to turn the thing over!Comment

For mine, I thought Leo had one of the best games I've seen him play, and I thought Kirk did a pretty good job on Buckley (tough assignment, that).
It was also great to see Roos moving players around a bit more. Baz is definitely better at CHF when FF isn't working out for him. With the exception of the last qtr, Saddo was great on Tarrant, and Schaubs kept Rocca pretty quiet too. Crouch had a great game against Didak (who I thought would have been the danger man) and Didak's frustration really began to show.
Best whole-game performance I've seen this year (I don't rate the win against Carlton, as they're just mugs).Comment
