    Jason Ball confirms retirement

    Announced on C10 tonight.

Here's hoping we send you out in the right style, Jason.

    Jason Ball

    Deserves his own thread.

Wasn't aware until listening to the commentary on the game tonight that Ball has announced he will retire at the end of the year. Was there an announcement that I missed?

I guess players know when its time to call it quits but the way he's played in the last couple of months, he looks still to be capable of playing good football.

The club will certainly be worse off next year without him.

i think he'd have been kept on regardless, but definitely now that ball's retiring. unless of course jeff white wants to come up and be darren jolly's understudy.
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

Ball's having a great year - I hope he can finish it with the ultimate reward.
