      I love him.!!!
I want to have his babies!!!

That was one of the most unbelievable moments ever. All of his goals were super classy and it was just fitting for him to kick the winner with the non dominant left boot.

        HEY NICKY!!!!!!!!!!!

He was so switched on - and having just watched the last quarter on Fox footy - he didnt even have full control of the ball - a legend in the making.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Having watched the replay of THAT goal a couple of time now it's worth mentioning how well Jason Ball did to win that clean tap. Davis' timing of his run was just perfect.

I just stood there in complete disbelief while everyone went nuts. I was too relieved to do anything!

Can't find the posts criticising Roos for his comments immediately after the match, but in an interview at recovery this morning he said stuff to the following effect:

              - Hard to appreciate how good Davis had been in the last quarter at the time due to so much happening and having to keep on top of all the changes
              - One of the best quarters of finals football you will ever see
              - Apart from Davis, probably only MOL could have kicked that last goal

              I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

Yet to watch a replay of the game, but seem to remember a point in the last qtr when the ball was trapped down in Geelong's half and Nick just looked determined to get the ball and move it forward. Was a great bit of play.

I agree with Jeffers, he can father my children after that.

After the match when Cords asked him about Nick's final quarter performance and kicking the goal Roos bascially said he didn't know who it was that kicked the goal and was trying to play down the hype of the whole thing mentioning that we still had next week. Cords asked if he was going to at least let them lap up the buzz for five minutes blah blah. It was on the fox replay this morning.

The umpire took his time confirming the goal, and the time clock would have continued ticking during that time.

Was probably about 5 seconds when he kicked it.

Yep, same here. I could only remember his 3rd goal, and for some reason thought he'd kicked one early in the game. I was barely watching the last passage of play and it took me a good five minutes to work out who kicked it. When I realised Davis kicked four in the final quarter I couldn't believe it. I think I was too distracted by the fact that we had actually kicked consecutive goals to notice who was doing the damage.

Yes, like when Nick was having a bad trot and everyone was starting to question wheter he was worth it. Who perservered?
And there was the temprement and the bad diet, the unwillingness to put in 100% at training: the Hero of the Fourth Quarter himself has said that he got his mind right and came to the mark just when a hero was needed. Someone saw that potential in him and helped Nick develop it.
Nothing can detract from Davis' incredible effort last night but spare a thought for the man who helped him get there.
