Why isn't it a team rule, that whenever LRT has possession from a mark or free kick, someone runs past for a (VERY) short handball (a la Dunkley)?

The handball to Ling was simply a brain explosion. Who was he going to? Goodes was about 5m, and 135 degrees, away.

I thought LRT's positives outweighed his negatives within the context of the game. Plenty of others who committed just as bad mistakes.

The clearance stats were very misleading in this regard. Looked like we were killing them there but while we we clearing the close in pack situations we were coughing it up 10 or so metres outside the pack to Geelong players who seemed to peel off and read it a lot better coming out.

McInerney, McLaren, Demetriou et al rot in hell!

To the obese and disgraceful head of the AFl viz his preposterous comments, and failure with Jeff Gieschen to fix the umpire malaise over several years...and to the umpires who remarkably and consistently fail to see head injuries to our midfielders as worthy of free kicks.

I think whatever happens next week we are the real moral victors this season............

I've always been of the opinion that LRT's learning experience in the seniors was a luxury we could ill afford. I do think he's imnproved enormously though over the year, but last week's turnover, I believe, sparked the weagles and denied us a home preliminary final, almost as much as the shocking Leo decision and the blatant trip on Goodsie. Last night's handball was just another example. But that said he was by no way alone in poor decision making and poor execution last night.
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

Hi mistake was poor but at least he was in there having a real go at a time during the game where quite a few of his team mates weren't.

So typical of LRT - his gather of the ball was excellent and his handball was crap.

It may have been the return from Subi or the loss last week but there was a time in the second half when most of the Swans had dropped their head. Kirk and LRT were two - and Bucky - who never stopped trying. Pick a Swan who did not have a clanger last night. So where are the threads for the other 20 players?

When looking for a "get out of gaol free" card I just never thought it'd be Nicky D.

Bevan was so useless it's not even worth a thread. Should be dropped next week.

I made a comment last night. Dreadful decision to bring him into the team. Surely Moore would have been more effective if they really had to change the lineup for a hard nut.

I'm still deciding which handball was worse: LRT's or Fosdike's weak attempt to handball across the face of goal which should have but somehow didn't lead to a Geelong goal.

LRT still has that "deer in the headlights" look about him - get back on the phone to SOS for God's sake.
