    I think last night Kirk and Davis both did what they do best.
    Buchy was good, Crouch was good at times but could not hit the side of a barn.
    Bevan didn't pinged for holding the ball.

      Three positives:

      * Nick Davis

      * Keeping Geelong within striking distance all night even though they were beating us all over the ground.

      * WE WON!!
      Occupational hazards:

          • Nick Davis
          • Jared Crouch's pace through the middle...one of the best games I've seen him play
          • The fourth quarter of Luke Ablett and Fosdike in particular
          • The toughness of the last quarter - neither side willing to give an inch in the clinches. Made for a fantastic spectacle.
          • The crowd going nuts. What jubilation!
          • Ben Mathews did what he does best in shutting down an opponent.
          • Can't think of much else 'cause to 3Q time it was just about the worst game of AFL I've seen by such a good team.

            Davis' arrival as the star player we knew he was and obviously and the fact we won.

            I agree - Kirk was great in the last quarter and there was a lot to like about Fosdike, Ablett, Buchanan and Crouchy.

                We won at NIGHT playing on a horrible surface. I know the Cats had the same surface but they handle it better than we do.
                The team ethos, they work hard together.

                  NMW said Jolly was reasonable.

                  I thought he was bloody terrific. 33 hit outs and I think the centre bounce clearances were 10 to 2 in our favour. The crap they talked about King going was just that, Jolly was giving him a Jolly old towelling in the ruck until he went off.

                      I thought Jolly and Ball completely towelled up Geelong's ruckmen (including King). Against Jolly though, I thought he could have done a bit more around the ground (he was okay in parts) and that missed goal was a shocker.

                      Less of Jolly's taps seem to go to advantage than Ball's I think, but I suspect that if that is correct it will change over time.

                        Now that Ball is retiring how inspired was the recruiting of Jolly.

                        Melbourne supporters are bleeding and have recently got stuck into Daniher for predicting Jamar was better than Jolly. Appears Jamar is now seen as no good. Maybe we should draft him too.

                          Are we still allowed to 'LOL', because I think that deserves one.
