Better than the QF win against port in 2003?

Better than the win against port in '03? Fair enough we played 100 times better against port in '03...

but i think that the finish with Nick davis kicking the goal with 5 seconds on the board was way more heartstopping than the 03' win.

A better comparison would be against the 96 PF. I reckon this one was just a bit better because of the unpredictability of the situation and the fact there were 32 players around the ball.

Well, I cried in '96 and not in '03 or tonight. Talk about heart-stopping though.

The difference with 03 and tonight is that we were given no chance of winning in 03 and we were away from home. We were at home and expected to win tonight but no question its the most heartstopping finish since 96

hard to say really, but i'd go for tonight based on the excitement factor at the end - although the 2nd qtr of 2003 was sensational and stuey's long goal in the 3rd was brilliant. plus kirky getting up from byron's shirtfront.

Big girl, or did you sell your plane ticket to someone in a blue and white beanie at 3/4 time?

No, I kept my faith until the very end. Although I did think that I would never buy an air ticket ahead of a result again.

Agree, With 3 goals in 3 qtrs, how were we going to kick 4 in less than 1 qtr!!

i thought 2003 was better cos we should never of won it, this was a game we should of won easily. I sound negative i know, but i wasnt anywhere near as happy at the end.

Neither were players. Roos needs to address player's lack of commitment very quickly in order to salvage our finals campaign.
It is unbelivable how 1 game (at Subi) can affect everything. I hope they'll come to MCG with all guns blazing!

no way in the world. this match was exceptionally thrilling, but was a lucky escape from a position we shouldn't have allowed ourselves to get into.

the port win, was a massive, triumphant victory against perceived odds and a sustained performance from beginning to end that virtually ended the minor premiers run to the grand final. it was also the product of a concerted and focused effort from all players.
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

I probably got more excited about Friday's win because of how it happened, but nothing will beat the QF win against Port. We were given absolutely no chance for that game but to do what we did down there was truely inspirational.

I remember Huddos call when Nicky D took that one grabber early in the 4th quarter against Port.
