We won't get close to St. Kilda the way we've played the last 2 weeks, but I guess everyone knows that already (including the players and coaches).

We MUST not get carried away after Friday night - Roosy did NOT look at all happy being interviewed after the game, IMO becausehe knows this team well, and how important it is to keep a lid on things after such an emotional win. We played our worst footy for the year after beating Brisbane at the Gabba.

I'm confident that when they review the tape on Monday or whenever, especially how poorly they handled Geelong's pressure, they will be brought back to earth. We are a huge chance in that case - but we need the heroes of the 2003 QF - Hall and Goodes - to fire.

Does anyone think that there is a chance that the week off may not always necesarrily be a good thing? Honestly, in 2003 i dont think the week off did us any good at all. 7 days is ample time for a fit player to recovery fully for a game.

Agree. Unless players decide in their mind that they want to play in GF it's not going to happened. The most important players gone missing in action in the finals? You've mentioned them, can they come back and start playing? They better do. If they don't there's no way I would support anyone of them to ascend to the captancy of the Sydney Swans.

Agree. I thought Roosy was fantastic an Friday night. He knows if we play like that against the Saints it will Mad Monday a week ealier than planned.

My prediction will be that if we can break even in the Midfield, Hall will spank the Saints.

Its good to go in as underdogs. Believe the team spirit and self belief in Swans camp will go a long way to winning.
            Go Swans.
            Love those Swans

yeah i was thinking this last week. the week break is obviously good to freshen up and manage injuries but i reckon it can alter momentum and make players complacent that they have fresher legs and will run over the opposition who played the week before

I think if it rains or is wet under foot we have no chance.

And what is it with us and night footy? We have been terrible of late i.e. not our attacking, free-flowing selves of the last half of the season.

Finals footy is contested footy. We are getting tackled, held up, shepherded and bumped off the ball and we aren't used to getting it that tough.

I won't be surprised in the slightest if we lose. But then again we can do absolutely anything if we put our minds to it.

Harvey and Del Santo are the 2 we must shut down

Interesting comment by Roosey on SEN this morning that we have gone poorly off byes in the past 3 years and he believes we thrive on the continuous hard work.

This is our big chance. Last year we had the injuries. This year it is their turn to get players up for the match. If it is a close match that works in our favour to finish over the top of them if they play unfit players.

Schwatta said if Hudgston plays on Barry Hall you can bet Barry will run him around as much as pssoibe early to test out his suss hammie.

Intriguing week coming up. For the first time I sense we can go all the way. This is what footy is all about.

Queing up for tickets tomorrow is the first instalment. Bring it on. I'm excited. Go bloods.
