    Bandwagon

Yay the Swannies bandwagon. Welcome aboard whoever wants to join.

"We had big audiences last night, it was fantastic. Nationally we had a peak audience of 1.8 million and an average of 1.27 million," Barham said on Saturday afternoon.

"The peak in Melbourne was close to 900,000 people, and in Sydney there was a peak audience of 378,000 people, which is great."

Every person we walked past in the street asked us about the game. The bandwagon is certainly rolling.

Last weeks game, WC v Syd was the 2nd highest rating show in Melbourne. 683,000 (IIRC), So 900,000 is excellent.

A lot of Non Sydney fans are jumping on the swans bandwagon down here in Melbourne.

378,000 in Sydney up against an NRL final is fantastic.

That's why I get sick of sandbaggers reminding us how the Iron Chef once outrated a Swans game......big deal.
These are good numbers for TV programmes and I'd say there'd be very happy little vegemites in TV land and in the AFL exec.

The Iron Chef is a pretty entertaining show.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Yes but don't you think Chen Kenichi is killing the cook off with culinary negativity and play safe recipies? His flooding of the prawns in chilli sauce is disgraceful and is killing the entertainment value and interest in the wonderfully exciting Szechuan style. His boring draw with Dominique Corby just about turned off the huge army of food followers. Turned me off and back to the swans. His constant ladle dipping should be refereed out of the contest. Kitchen stadium is far too confined for exciting tucker contests. Chairman Kaga is everywhere and giving the huge audience the runs. Andy D where are you? Say something

That is actually the peak viewer number.
The average number of viewers during the NRL game was about 88,000, but obviously this increased as more people started to switch towards the end of the League match, which was really quite one sided and uninteresting from all accounts.

On my way back to Sydney yesterday I heard boofhead "Rabs" Warren giving out the viewer ratings for the previous night. He gave the League rating (500K) then the Swans as 88,000 ONLY, no peak, then the Cricket as 299,000 - which was the PEAK after all the footy had finished.

Typical biased crap from someone trying to validate a Friday night borefest for the League.

I notice the crowd for the League match was a paltry 26,000 and last night for the Brisbane - Melbourne match it was 25,000.

That pretty much says it all.

                    LOL - gold!

The three umpires at the end always seem to have the home chef in front even before the tasting starts. I believe that they cave in far to often to rabid home crowd support and need to show more consistancy. How can SBS expect the concept to grow in this market if there are such one sided decisions each week?

The interest in the Swans since Friday Night is amazing. I live in the Western Suburbs of Sydney(League stronghold) and Ive worn my Swans Jumper all weekend and every second person I run into is commenting and asking about the game. Its quite amazing

Ps. I better take the jumper off its starting to smell

When it kicks the NRL off the front of its own propaganda mouthpiece the Telegraph Mirror, of course people are going to notice! Pix of Davo and the players celebrating on ALL of the Saturday papers.

Nick Davis, not bad for a smallish kid from Cronulla, hey!?

According to one of the sunday chip wrappers over here he has SWITCHED. Now totally red and white - St George and Swans. Just don't expect this bandwagon to run on time
