    extra pleasure

richard colless may have said that the four points was most important, but i must admit to some pleasure watching a glum eddie walk across the field after the game.the icing on the cake after a great display of football.
Coach: "Joe,go out and get ferocious"

    Joe:"Sure coach,what number is he?"

    I enjoyed that moment too!

What is even sweeter is that we have also moved ahead of them on the ladder. After next week they might not even be in the eight.

He'd just got 40,000 opinions on Collingwood's performance when he Asked The Audience.

And every time they got a free he was yelling "Fifty!Fifty!".

If he need cheering up , he should gave Phoned A Friend.

        Very funny Swansinger .

Silly me forgot to look out for Eddie when the siren went. I was too busy watching the players. I was listening to the radio on the way home and they asked Eddie if he was annoyed that Davis kicked the winning goal....Eddie replied that he was more annoyed that Goodes was running up and down the ground the whole night with no opponent.

It feels so good when we beat collingwood .

Goodes has done that for weeks now.

Beyond me how opposition sides are letting it happen.

I'd call that a criticism of Malthouse, even though it wasn't meant that way probably.
Interesting to see if Brisbane can do anything with Goodes...

Goodes is so hard to match up on because he plays in the ruck. No ruckman in this league can keep up with him around the ground, thus gets free so offen and gets the stats
            Once was, now elsewhere

On the Channel 9 Footy Show this morning Malthouse said Goodes was the perfect coaches player. Can run like a hare, too fast for a ruckman to keep up with and too tall, strong and agile for a conventional tagger.

He as good as said he didn't have anyone capable of matching up on him.

He called him something like the "dream draft pick up" that rarely comes along.

and what number did we pick him up at again?

i might get shot for this, i think goodes had a ripper game he got my 3 votes however watching the replay he dropped quite a few 'easy' marks in the forward 50, if had caught those marks he coulda had 6 goals rather than 2... which is actually a positive sign really coz there is plenty for him to improve on, including kicking for goal from a set shot, taking contested marks when he doesnt have a free run at the ball and giving away free kicks (he 'lead' the league last season)...

if he improves on those three factors he will DOMINATE

                  Pick 43

I sat and watched the whole draft up to that point just to see which club ended up getting an impressive kid I had seen in the U18s by the name of Adam Goodes

We did really well out of draft 1997, with Saddo (pick 12?) and Goodes (pick 43). Campbell (pick 40) showed a bit too but he was not committed. I believe Goodes and Saddo have stepped up one level. Goodes is pretty to a super-star status now, Saddo is a very good player. Plenty of positives to build on for the next few years.

I've never stopped raving about Goodes since I first slapped eyes on him. I think he's already a super-star. Way better/stronger/faster than Kouta (like the six million dollar man) imo.

Playing against Brisbane will give us the best indication of how good he is.

This morning, Gary Lyon said he was right up there for the Brownlow, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if he takes out quite a few awards this year.

Nowhere near as good as Kouta in his prime IMHO, however has the potential to be. Needs to correct a few errors in his game, as mentioned above. I think sometimes people forget just how good Kouta was a couple of year's ago. However, the bonus for us is that I think Goodes will be a better player at a younger age than Kouta.
