Only Weak Link Last Night was....

    IMO Rowan Warfe.

I only saw the second half, but he made quite a few mistakes, one big one in the centre which cost us a goal.

Surely we can do better than him in the side, really he adds nothing extra to the side, and was probably our only 'bad' player last night.

    Thoughts?

As soon as Fixter or Seymour return its bye bye to Warfe, sadly

Impossible is not a fact, it's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration, it's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing!

He did take one very nice - and important mark in the dying stages of the 3rd quarter when the Wobbles had started to exert a bit of pressure, just after Buckley kicked the first of his two long goals. It possibly saved another goal, and at that stage it was a critical save. He followed it up by actually landing a pass on the chest of a team mate!

Apart from that, agree that he didn't do too much...

I think that Nicks should replace Warfe this week.

Get him back to his old position of runnung half-back.

Powell and Mieklejohn both deserve to stay.

Powell is a real tough nut who won't take a backward step

I think the writing is on the wall for Rowan. The fact he had so little game time last night suggests to me that he's got a very limited time left in the seniors. Powell, a first-gamer, played more minutes, what does that say about the coaching staff's confidence in Warfe???

          I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

i think seymour should replace warfe, give seymour five weeks to prove himself...

and NOW all of a sudden we have competition for spots in the side, who do u drop for nicks? i say put nicks back to the seconds and let him learn how to shoot for goal

our forward line worked really well last night

If we go Warfe for Seymour, who does Fixter replace at the moment???
              Once was, now elsewhere

                  Sorry JAB,
But you gotta expect it as, well quite frankly, Warfe is CRAP!
                  Harsh but true, IMHO

if u r sick of us bagging warfe go to the lions messageboard or something, fact is: warfe is a hack... therefore we r gonna tell it how it is

is fixter ready to come back yet? if so, id have to say.... dunno, thats tricky. youd immediately say powell but id prefer him left in... after last night u can definitely not drop mathews, gotta have meiklejohn for rotation through ruck... fosdike probably, i think fosdike has been playin quite well but u cant go past fixter, fixter offers more than fosdike

                        Maybe just Fixter for warfe?
Powell can take over Warfe position and fixter cna be the small man we need down back, and/or maybe be in rotation for midfield duties

seymour does need a run IMO, give him the chance to prove himself, if not he is GORN! he needs to slot back into the backline as the hard nut defender not in the forward line

it would be good for that direct swap though

long term, i hope james is our answer for the hard ass defender... atm of course it is a fair way off however...

we could have some real good depth once doyle and james are fit... but still no fb, imo james at 189cm is simply not tall enough for fb... he woulda been perfect for tarrant...

i have fait that james will come fit and become a true chapion, prove me right PLEASE heath

That was more a mistake by Kirk, whose kick to him was rather poor.

He had less than 20 minutes last night, so didn't really have an opportunity to do much. But I think the Swans recognise that his playing days are nearly done.
