If Hamill is indeed out, they lose alot of structure up forward. He really straighten's them up as a lead up CHF to allow Reiwoldt to be closer to goals. Much like ROK for us.
But i'll wait till Thursday.

More than just straightening St Kilda up, IMHO, Hamill is their barometer of intensity. When he is out there, they are much more phyiscal, harder at the ball etc.
If I had to choose one of Hamill or Kosi being out, I'd choose Hamill.
I'm on the Chandwagon!!!
If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Yep, without doubt. He is their enforcer.

For the benefit of us non-Victorians, who is Rendall and how is he qualified to know this?

I don't eat animals since discovering this ability. I used to. But one day the lamb I was eating came through to me and ever since then I haven't been able to eat meat.
I dont think we should concern who will play and who will not. I would love to see if they decide to play Kosi or Hudghton. An underdone St Kilda would always be good for our chance.

Agree, we play who we play. Need to beat the 22 who run out against us that is all.
As for Rendell's comments, I would be very suspicous if this was Sheedy or Malthouse. But St Kilda for the whole year has been straight down the line when someone is not ready to play and I don't see them changing this now.

St Kilda has already confirmed that star big men Aaron Hamill and Justin Koschitzke will not play in Friday night's preliminary final against Sydney at the MCG.
The Saints have already lost Sam Fisher (foot) and Xavier Clarke (hamstring) for the rest of the season, but will get Matt Maguire (hip) and Brendon Goddard (calf) back for this week, with Rendell saying that both were back in full training. Coleman Medallist Fraser Gehrig will also play, despite lingering groin soreness.
While this is a welcome bonus, the Saints will still be very hard to beat and it should be noted that when we lost to them in Round 10 this year, both Hamill and Koschitzke were out.
Why would you rule out two of your best players on a Monday?
One explanation is that they don't want to be distracted by all the speculation of will they play, or won't they.
But Roosey would be foolish to not have a plan B ready.

For Kosi, it is not a question of ruling him out early.
Despite some of the hopeful media in Melbourne he was never in serious contention for a game.
He did this injury earlier in the season and missed more than 4 weeks, so when he did the exact same injury again he was never going to be risked after only 3 weeks.

Would love if they play Kosi. How long would he last in the game? May be a quarter in the field and three quarters on the bench. This would be really good for us.
Vicky Pollard: Oh my god I so can't believe you just said that this is like the time I threw Anita's nokia in the canal as a joke and she's like you have well got to buy me another one and I'm like get over it and then Paul came over who's adopted anyway and started saying that I fancy Mark Bennett but oh my god just because I have sex with someone doesn't mean I fancy them.
