I'd imagine someone like McRae or Power.

    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Power seems to play a bit in the backline these days, so I reckon he might look after Schneider when he's on. I think Crouch will take one of the key midfielders.

i thought kirk had a real good game on buckley, sure buckley got 31 possessions but he really wasnt all that effective apart from those two long goals, buckley wasnt that effective coz of kirk's pressure

          IMO:

          kirk on voss
          crouch on aker
          cresswell on lappin
          j. bolton on black
          C'mon Chels!

            the defining matchups will be:

            williams vs hart
maxfield vs scott twin, IMO this is the game that maxy needs to step up and win for us
goodes vs brennan, this will be a good matchup, goodes needs to use his experience over brennan

hopefully the lions dont risk lynch

leppa will be on hall at chf, hall looked excellent at chf!

Wow, I hope they do put Brennan on Goodes!

Bit like putting Cloke on Goodes . . . . or my 9 yr old daughter on Goodes, for that matter.

It would guarantee another 3 Brownlow votes for Goodes, anyway.

the difference between cloke and brennan is that brennan has pace and flare

goodes was able to run off cloke, brennan will run off goodes... itll be a good duel, nothing like a 9 year old

goodes is good but he isnt great, yet

Still I would imagine that Goodes would still beat Brennan. We have to happy with that match up, cause as good as Brennan has shown he can be, he as only played 3 games or so, so he is still lacking in experience big time, and really in the form goodes is in, it really doesnt matter who you put on him, he is just about unstopable atm

Brennan is an exciting youngster who has played . . . what? . . . . three games?

In terms of pace and flare, he isn't in the same ballpark as Goodes. He might be competitive for 5 minutes, or even one quarter if he's lucky. Over 4 quarters, he would be killed.

Goodes has a particular style of play that suits him, and he is the best in the comp in that role. If Roos can afford to give him a free reign for the whole season, then he could win the Brownlow. Just pray that Ball doesn't get injured.

                      Agreed.

I dont think we would be worry on who Goodes should match up with. It should be the other way around. Let him roam and see who Lethal could throw up to tag him.

Exactly. I reckon Ball and cresswell are our most important players this year in terms of who they free up like Goodes and Williams etc. Without these two in the team it makes it very hard, as we have seen.

Best game I have seen Crouch play. Was very accountable and backed himself when needed. He genuinely gave Didak a bath.

I have noticed that he plays his best footy coming off half back, so he perhaps should be the one to pick up a small forward, and when Fixter gets back slot him straight into the midfield, where he will make his mark on the AFL. The obvious replacement for Cressa next year.

As Newbie notes, Goodes doesn't go with anybody.

He just needs to do his own thing and let the opposition worry about him. And on current form he will be an absolute migraine for every other coach in the league.

BTW. I told you Didak is soft.

                              Don't worry about Brennan

If the video scrutiny is fair dinkum, Brennan might be looking on next weekend.

Sunk an elbow into (Scarlett I think) during the third quarter. Have a rest for a week and think about your game young fella
