    Keys to success

What are the main things that will get us going and hopefully win?

What are the things that will be a let down, get to us and cause us to be of ultimate suckage?

I know that if we win then play the Grand Final, we would've been at the MCG twice in a row so we wouldn't have to majorly adjust to the ground.

I am so nervous I think I'll have a breakdown. If we lose, by the end of the night you won't want to know me.

I'd just hate to see St Kilda play in the Grand Final. I don't like them being better than us.

Going by my personal motto*, we'd either lose the Prelim, but Saints would lose the Grand Final, OR, Saints would have a few players out (eg Hamill and Kosi) then we'd win the Prelim, OR, we'd get whacko umpires who torture us with outrageous decisions but we win the game. So many possibilities.

*Something good happens, then something bad, then something even better than the first - it works.
Vicky Pollard: Oh my god I so can't believe you just said that this is like the time I threw Anita's nokia in the canal as a joke and she's like you have well got to buy me another one and I'm like get over it and then Paul came over who's adopted anyway and started saying that I fancy Mark Bennett but oh my god just because I have sex with someone doesn't mean I fancy them.

As much as I want to be blindly positive, it's simply not in me.
We've played two close games in slippery conditions, we have nagging injury concerns (Williams, Ablett, Crouch...) and form issues (Hall, Goodes, J Bolton...).

IMO the only key to success on Friday night... is crippling injuries to St Kilda.
But hey! It's only Monday and Kosi and Hamill are out! Here's hoping it only gets worse.

Last Friday we were knocked around coming back from WA. If we win this week, we'll be playing a team coming back from Subi. If the team play as they can then they can win. Let's see how far belief and discipline can carry us. Thinking about not losing to the Saints is the wrong approach. But, I think we have a massive lead as most of the Saints are viewing the game as you express it - turn up with most of their team (including several underdone) and they'll get the win. I think we can get the win. Let's see how close Roos has this team to the Lions "fight till we drop" spirit.

Will the Saints be complacent? Will the Swans be overawed with the occasion?

The key is the mental state of the team's during the game. It was what got us over the line, and what got St Kilda the win. In both games, the team that had the greatest belief triumphed, and if the right Swans turn up (especially if the complacent or arrogant Saints turn up) we are a very good chance for an upset.

        I am confident.

Like Friday night keep at pace with the saints, even let be a couple of goals for the majority. Then when they think they can defend the lead pounce on them.

As long as we aren't get thrashed a la every melbourne final then ill be excited.
          Onwards to Victory!

And I'll be sitting next to you! What on earth will I do?

            What we need:

            The footy player's checklist
            FOOTY BRAIN
            Solid ball handling skills
            Mental and physical toughness
            Focus
'One game at a time' mentality
            'Never say die' attitude
            Underdog status
Boardies for a dip in the Tasman

And you can't find nothing at all,
If there was nothing there all along.

                    No worries, Mrs Pebbles.
All I had heard was 'Half fwd flank, Punt Rd end, 30 rows back undercover.'
We'll all be one big Bon Bon happy family, then.
