3 - The fend off, the pace and then the snap over the shouldor. Anyone who has played the game, would know how tough that was to execute. Magical!

Yeah, it's hard work picking one over the other. They were just exceptional, every one. To slot them under that kind of pressure. He showed different skills across all of them.

I still liked 4 the most but.

I'd have to go with 4, but for more than the obvious reason. The players have to know there are only seconds left. The crod is at a frenzy, and to get that clear, and then have a perfect tap and snap at that tight angle with a defender right there to smother it. Pure magic.

The replay from the stands looking down at the goals, it's a wonder the ball wasn't smothered. The Geelong player must still be wondering how Davo got that by him.

3 had the most skill about it, but 4 was the best for me.

I voted 4 because of the importance and the arseyness it showed.

However in terms of class, 3 goes without saying. Receives the quick give then the palm on Milburn (SOS would be proud) then to get into space and snap hard and high from 40 metres was superb. The ball just kept going and going and going. I loved his reaction as well.

                  Class. Sheer class.
I was watching the Swans vs. Essendon match from round 21, 2004 yesterday. The Swans had struggled in the first and then Davis turned it on for 3 goals in the 2nd quarter. Nick's first came from roving a Jason Ball tap and then an amazing snap from the boundary, I had a big smile on my face when I recognized how he turned the ball horizontally and dropped it in exactly the same way as he did for his first goal in the SF.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

3 was superb, the fend showed strength, presence of mind and then execution all with a 2 seconds, magnificent.

4 goes without saying. 4 turned a city of expectation into a city of jubilation!

The Swans finally getting their running game together, moving the ball forward quickly, the long bomb and the strong mark. Very hard to go past it for a great team goal.

Absolutely P46 - used to consider myself a bit of a goalsneak but to kick that goal under pressure from 40 & as a screw kick was just incredible - I doubt there there are 10 players in this entire competition that could have kicked that goal & Davis may be the only one that is not indigenous! (Ok, possibly Aker...)

Hard to pick a favourite for the pure beauty or difficulty of the goal itself so my pick is the 2nd as we needed the back to back goal. It was a set shot, he went back no nonsense and kicked it.

I'd have to go with the third one... without a doubt. As good as the first was, he's done those ones before... i actually picked it (was sitting up in the Churchill, almost directly back from where he was), and i've seen him do it many times, in games and in warmup...

                              That third goal... absolute class...

Not to mention the last goal, but yeah, i can't really remember much apart from lots of jumping, screaming and hugging!! I was only 12 in 1996, so i don't remember it much apart from the replays i've seen!

All of the above. All were needed and all were just fab.

Imagine how shattered the team, and especially Davis would have been if the 4th hadn't wobbled in ? A case of 'what if' would have gone on forever. 4th definately most important for me.
