If we lose this weekend, will we do the same thing again?

We need to win this week, then back that up and win again next week. Anything less is failure. Again.
Yes questions will need to be asked but not in all situations.

In 2003 we were playing at home, with a weeks rest and lost. Granted we played one of the greatest teams of the last 100 years but the game was perfectly set-up for us to ice it and move into a GF.

This year things are different, we are away from home playing a team everybody rated as the pre season flag favourite.

If the boys come out on Friday night, play a blinder and go down swinging then I will feel we have given it our best shot but were beaten by a better team on the night.

I am sure in that situation Gerard would still want to look at the reasons why and fair enough, but he will have to acknowledge that we were just not up to it.

I just said it to sound older than I am. I can't accept that we have finished "fourth after the finals" if we lose this weekend and St Kilda go on to win the flag - surely Adelaide/WCE would be fourth after losing to the team that went on to lose the GF? Not that it matters since we won't lose, will we?

I had to modify my original post as I wrote "my sainted granny" but I'm off saints this week.

We have nothing to fear but fear itself. I cannot claim this but must credit the great American President Roosevelt. Just as true now.

Actually, I am now afraid of the umpires.

                    2 out of 40 ain't great odds.

40? Well if you want to consider the whole list, a large number of the Swans' 1996 list have had finals experience in the years since. Grant, Licuria and Rocca have all actually played in Grand Finals since 1996. It's a lot better than 2 in 40 if you care to do your homework.
