    The Best

    The best bit.

    That will probably be the slide for them back to the bottom.

    C/wood are aside made up of 'poached' players - Buckley - O'Bree - Rocca - Licuria - Wakelin - Clement - Holland - Molloy - Freeborn - Woewoden. Traditionally those sides never perform well for long. We add a few players where we are weak but most of our guys are 'home grown'. Thankfully Eddie and MM's strategy of building quickly looks to be coming undone - too slow - too low in skill.

    Their only 'home grown' player who looks any good is Tarrant.

    Will look forward to the downfall - past 8 years or so we have proven to be their nemesis as well - why they hate us so much - why I think they're trash.

    We on the other hand have a rising young side - Goodes, Bolton, Kennelly, Schneider, Fosdike, Doyle, Saddington all developed ourselves.

    Thi sis a joke right?

    I hate Collingwood as much as the next guy, but they have a pretty damn good list.

    And bagging them right now would be the same thing as bagging the Swans 96 list at the beginning of the 97 season.

    And suddely Sydney is a list of rising stars?
    jeez, that youth policy worked pretty quick lol

      Nope - I reckon they are in serious trouble - tipped it all summer - their final 10 rnds last year were equally shocking.

      Make the finals likely - but no way a contender

        I dunno.

        They have a LOT of home grown talent... not many absolute champions, but not every player who's been important in flag-winning sides have been champions.

        They've got 1 superstar - FIGJAM - more than some clubs.

        They've got a very good second tier consisting of Rocca, Licuria, Tarrant, Burns, Woewodin, Lockyer and O'Bree.

        Then they've got a third teir of young and middle-aged players who are all either good or up-and-coming... I wouldn't mind a couple of Didak, Fraser, Lonie, Cloke, McGough, Cole, Wakelin, Prestigiacomo, Davis and Williams.

        They're going along nicely. I don't think their premierships chances yet... but it's only Round 6, and they're still in 8th spot. I'll start to doubt them if they lose 2 or 3 more.
        We hate Anthony Rocca
        We hate Shannon Grant too
        We hate scumbag Gaspar
        But Leo WE LOVE YOU!

          I must say I agree with Reggi on this, particularly after we had this discussion on Sat night.

          I don't rate Collingwood, and its got nothing to do with my hatred of them. Their list is ordinary, and if you don't believe me, go back and have another look at last nights game.

          Keep in mind that we are a side who most "experts" have picked as a likely wooden spoon candidate, and have a look at how many winners over the whole field we had, against their team who 'everybody' rates!!

          Woewodin= worst Brownlow medalists since Libba
          Prestigiacomo = slow
          Clement = Made O'loughlin smile
          Cloke = 3 Brownlow votes to Goodes, thank you very much
          McGough = woeful skills
          Lokan = slow
          Didak= soft
          Molloy = overrated, overweight, flat track bully boy no influence on last nights game.
          Burns = ageing
          Holland = ex freo, need I say more
          Fraser = not a ruckmans bootlace
          Mckee = Ditto, but at least Fraser can play a bit.

          I could add more but to be honest I'm sick of hearing, and reading about them, cause they represent mid table mediocrity, and their current position on the ladder is just about where they shoul be.

          Seriously this Collingwood team is so overrated and hyped up by the media it is not funny. I'm looking forward to the spin doctoring after Adelaide give em a nice old touch up next weekend to make it 4 losses on the trot.

            Reggi you're being too harsh, they're in a trough at the moment so look worse than they are. Tarrant will become a star but I also think that Lonie, Cole, Didak and Fraser may develop into pretty good players. If you rate Fosdike and Bolton, you have to rate them. I have reservations about both Fossie and Jude and believe that Didak and LOnie have more ability than them. Mcgough has poor skills but gets the ball and is pretty young. I don't rate Lokan much but he is superquick not slow as was suggested. I still think we have to spend time down the bottom to reap the reward of good draft picks. Goodes is our only budding superstar. Saddington will be found out on a quality player for the duration of a match. OUr other really good players are ageing. AS has started well but someone said last night, he's pretty short and it's a honeymoon period as he slips under other teams' guards. Remember also we took one of their homegrown talents in Davis. the other Davis might be ok once his personal problems go away.

              Leon Davis is a dud.

              As Rohan Connolly said past 14 H & A games they have won 6 - with practically no injuries.

              They are a superstar (Buckley) a rising superstar (Tarrant) some good players (O'bRee Rocca Licuria) - but they fall away.

              Would Molloy Johnston McGough get games at other clubs.

              We need a lot of work - but we know it - they actually think they have a fair side.

                  Agree 100% Reggi - "Neon Leon" - Number 1 DuD on their list

                  FIGJAM - a great player

                  Agree on your second tier - Rocca, Licka (ex swans) & Tarrant

                  but the rest are nothing to rave about

                  How much longer does Josh Fraser need to develop

                  Doyle annihilated him in the under16's to Under 18's

                  he is very soft

                  To me their developing talent is nowhere as good as ours

                    I agree. I think last year was a case of overachievement, with the lesser-lights really standing up, but maybe this year will be found out.
