    Willo to play

The 7pm ABC TV News said that Willo was recovering well and was likely to play this week.

Not a definite but a positive.

Big mistake IMO. As much as we need him, I doubt if we'll get a lot from him given the potential to reinjure the thigh.

Save him for the Grand Final like Hamill?

He would still be more useful off the bench than a Malceski or Moore IMO. Just wont be able to run out the whole match.

Depends on his injury. He didn't do much on Friday night.

You mean besides Davis... , but Willo didn't do much because he was injured - I'd rather have say Malceski able to run out the whole game (and god knows you need fit players in finals) than an injured Willo, and if we win, then I'd like a fully fit Willo for the GF, rather than an injured one.

No, because the Grand Final isn't promised. This could well be the last game of 2005 so we have to make the most of it.
Vicky Pollard: Oh my god I so can't believe you just said that this is like the time I threw Anita's nokia in the canal as a joke and she's like you have well got to buy me another one and I'm like get over it and then Paul came over who's adopted anyway and started saying that I fancy Mark Bennett but oh my god just because I have sex with someone doesn't mean I fancy them.

There are about 10 case studies I've seen that prove, 'Never, never play players who are struggling to come up to scratch on fitness in finals. They will be caught out.' The most recent case study being Paul Williams, Sydney v Geelong, 9 September 2005.

Willo is not an 'off the bench' type of player, and anyways a less talented player who could go at full tilt without a question-mark in the back of his mind, would be more use.

Yep, and you'd struggle to think of too many (any?) that disprove that proposition!

Interesting, they usually play Baker on him but he's tipped to play on Davis to strangle him out of the game.

I'm with NMW and Simon on this matter. Never ever ever ever go into a finals game with an "underdone" player - It is not worth the risk. Get an able bodied player in. Look at Moore, Malceski or McVeigh. Get more running players in - especially if it is wet - especially at night.
