Yep, interesting that. I could almost predict who on RWO would tip the Sints to win.

My tip: Sydney by 15. Hall to kick 5, MOL 3, Davis held to just 1. Goodes to have the blinder he needs to have.

          Swans by 17

We will get a big early lead, and the saints will slowly claw their way back, but ultimately swans will hold them off.

Headline and media scrutiny in Melbourne the next day will be all about how not playing Hamil cost the saints the game, and possibley a mention that the swans won it (but no certainty)

*sigh* ... Wish I lived in Sydney, maybe I'd have a job now and maybe I could go see the boys more often than the 5 or 6 times we get them here ...

I think I said Swans, just ... But I'll be wearing the oxygen mask ...

Never!! The Swans NEVER win, it's always the other side that loses or is unlucky ...

I keep dreaming that Tadgh cuts off sure mark to Riewold in defensive 50, takes off, runs and bounces, dodges weaves...., spins around Harvey, kicks from outside 50 on the run, straight down the middle (aiming at cheersquad). It goes through, everyone pumped. We win by 6.

Reality - it will be close but I think we will win by 14

Riiight... so just because you write here that you think the Swans will win then it has more chance of happening...

You seem to imply that anyone who picks the Saints somehow doesn't want to the Swans to win as much as someone who picks the Swans.

There seem to be three categories of predictors here:

                          * those who believe the Saints will win for football reasons, but want the Swans to win

                          * those who believe the Swans will win for football reasons

                          * those who believe the Swans will win because they want them to (these are the DBAers)

(and there would be a fourth category, but Foothead has been banned).

Predicting the swans to win against the saints can be for footballing reasons.

                            - We did finish higher than them on the ladder
                            - Although we've lost the last couple against them, we did pull their pants down last year.
                            - They have far more injury concerns than us.
                            - We have won both our finals*

                            Go Swans!

I have no issue if someone wants to pick the Swans for football reasons.

I also have no real problem if someone wants to pick the Swans because they simply want it to happen - there is an issue however with these particular people who imply that somehow they are 'better supporters' because they 'believe'.

Down boy. That is not what was implied, rather its your interpretation. And I am not going to be drawn into another argument with you this week or next.
