    Wild BF Rumour....Crawf?

A notable, and not very good, rumour-monger on BF came up with the following:
Crawford to Sydney, for 1st pick, Ablett and Saddo.

To me this would be horrific. I would hand in my membership if it was the case.

Would anybody want Crawford? Is he the difference between a top four & a flag?

    Hardly.

    Ooops...should put in link: here

For Saddo, maybe, not for Ablett though.

I read that the Bombers are sniffing around him anyway.

Aparantly he prefers Sydney. I don't see the point in trading for a 31 year old.. especialy at the expense of Nog.

        Bombers' bold bid for Crawford

Not for the first time, the former Hawk captain has been recently linked with Sydney. Crawford is on holiday in Bali and not due to return until the weekend, but Hawthorn is aware of a meeting he held a fortnight ago with former Hawthorn assistant coach George Stone, a close friend and Sydney's forward scout.
Would be very handy right about now.

And would attract a lot more crowd interest in the Swans.

I would want him for a second round pick OR Saddington. If we gave anything else we would be mad.

Would trade Ablett for Crawford + Spider + first round pick.

              At last some sense.

I'd need the first round pick though.

Really, what good would Crawford offer? He's 31. He's on a $750K contract reputedly. He's had dreadful injury troubles and past his prime.

Nog is a developing 22yo who has been trusted with some important jobs and has developed very well over the last two years...the natural replacement for Willo imo. I'd actually rather trade B1 than NOG.

              (...or Mathews!!!!)

He won't move to Sydney. Means he would have to fly to Melbourne every thursday to be a clown on the footy show.

                I don't think so.

We have to stop this whole theory that has beens want to move to Sydney to end their careers. It should not happen.

If i was after something from Hawthorn then i would want Roughead.

Crawf is 31 and would demand a big trade from us which i don't think is worth it for him.

The Hawks will laugh at us if we offered them our fodder in Saddington, Spriggs etc.

We should laugh back at them for having the face to even think we are going to give up what they want for crawf.

Ablett should be off the table for any trade, but particularly for a 31 year old who doesn't even play in the midfield anymore.

NOG's best still is in front of him and he has heaps of potential.

Swans coaching staff should be sacked if they even consider such an appalling trade.

Unless Ablett wants to move I can't see why we would trade him and I certainly doubt we'd swap him for Crawford. I would have had no problem swapping say Saddo and a pick for Crawford this year, but probably not next year.

Crawford won't come here - he is known enough here - not fame for him here.
Forget trad for Ablett - we want him.

We dont want Crawf, but anyone who says we cant afford to get rid of ablett is kidding themselves. Sure he's been good this year, but is probably one of only a few on the list that are not irreplacable, and actually worth something in a trade.
