He confirmed that Sammy Hamill will definitely be out, along of course with Koschitzke. He also said that Baker is likely to get Davis and would be moved if one of the midfielders was starting to get on top. He thinks that Baker will finish high up in their b & f as he hasn't been beaten once this year by an opponent. Of course he forced Judd into suspension with his tactics. It will hard for Nicky D to get a touch as Baker basicially doesn't let go of hus man for the whole match ; he won't be allowed to play the game on his merits. Maybe start him on the bench for a prolonged period to throw the Saints off?

As we saw on the weekend all Davis needs is a half a chance and he can kick a goal.Adam Goodes: Rising Star 99, Brownlow 2003, 2006

Kirk is FAR more dangerous to them, and I doubt Roos will play him as a pure tagger (now that we have Ablett). If anything, he may use Baker the other way around - Baker on Bolton or Kirk to restrict supply, and then move him onto Davis if he starts kicking goals anyway. Our Greatest Moment:

baker on davis would be a win for us as i'd back davis most times inside 50 in a one on one situation.
you have to remember that baker has done his tagging roles well in the midfield so him being in our forward line is foreign territory and davis is in some pretty good touch.Roosy = LEGENDComment

He's the toughest little hombre in town
STEVEN Baker likes the thought of playing Amon Buchanan tomorrow night in the preliminary final, for they are good mates with a Colac connection, they have a similar earthy approach to the game and they've gone head to head before.
What's guaranteed is that if it happens, then Buchanan will know that he is in for a hell of a night.
As will Nick Davis, last weekend's Sydney hero, should Baker trot over to pick him up at the first bounce with a nudge to the ribs and a gentle reminder that he might not be finding so much space tonight. Or indeed Brett Kirk, should St Kilda choose to send Baker into the midfield to counter his influence.

True, Baker will play on our best midfielder all night, not matter who that is and no matter what point in the game. He'll change opponents depending on the dominance. I'd say he'll start on a running mid like Jude.

How ironic is it that they are writing about the Saints taggers when every other article is how will we stop their run?Comment
