    Psychology of Saints

I believe Saints ruled Kosi and Hamill out early to water down the 'hot favourites' tag in the media and to keep the players minds on beating us before 'their' grand final.

They are still the golden boys down here, although several ex player pundits have now tipped us, and it seems the ones that like us, but not actual supporters, feel we are still the big smoky in the last four.

Hudghton and Maguire must be rusty, Goddard too if he gets in. Their back line is not in great shape if we can get the ball down there with purpose.

They may well play Riewoldt much closer to goal this week and simply bang it in with their height advantage.

Our ruck division is superior, we need to clamp Del Santo and Hayes, and work on Gehrig's thumb!

I think we have a very very good chance of getting over the line with our biggest single danger being the weather.

Anyone else in P10 on Friday night?

weather will suit us more then them i reckon

as long as they keep the feet, it annoys me when its a one on one and they just do something stupid and try to slap it forward or dive and the other guy gets it

Agreed and not be afraid to take clean possession. In wet conditions, the umps are going to be much more lenient on holding the ball.

If I was a betting man, I would say the edict has come down that the frees for the next 2 weeks are to be obvious (not assumed from a blind position) and not manufactured!

We are in with a great shot whether its dry or wet.

There are advantages in both types of conditions for us against the Saints.

Let's face it, we may never have a better chance to make a grand final. St Kilda, while a quality side, are not full strength and have plenty of injured or underdone players.

We have had two tough games but importantly a full week to recover at home without having to fly back from Perth. We should be in good shape.

If you need to draw some confidence - we have been right in every game since we played St Kilda last time around. Our only losses have been by a kick or less.

Finally, get excited! This is September and a packed MCG and the Swans are in it up to their necks.

        WE CAN WIN!!!!
