    Hamill trains well

Just heard on SEN that Hamill trained strongly this morning.

    Bring him on I say.

He trained really strongly before the Adelaide game too.

Hamill is a really important cog in the StKilda team. If he was fit and firing, I think StKilda would be tough to contain. However, if he does get up and play, I don't think he will have much influence.

Agreed - the article about the Saints' toughness today was general. But their whole team seems tougher when he's there. I reckon his mere presence is as important to them as Baz' is for us. In both cases, can win without - but it's a lot more difficult.

His hardness is one thing but his presence as an extra tall target is the other. Our defence will be stretched if he plays.

It just means that Craig Bolton will have a much tougher night? he?s tamed Jonathon Brown, he can do the same to Hamill.

Heard another report that he trained and trained strongly, but not with the main group and didn't do any physical stuff.

              So should be out.

No physical stuff = no play

No way they would take the risk

Rendell said on Monday that he would be training this week but only to get ready for the following one should they advance.

Hamill's not actually that tall - just plays that way (and is very strong). He's the same height as Barry.

Yep. You would think that Bradshaw (Lions) would be tall too because he's such an Ox. But he is only around 188cm tall.

Currently no, but the Melbourne media seem keen to keep pushing his name up for selection despite the fact the club so says no and his training regime this week says no.

Incidently, Port played both Peter Burgone and Wilson last week which backfired on them big time.
