    Official Saints changes.

IN Hudgton, Fiora, Goddard and Maguire
OUT Ferguson, Peckett, HAMILL and Fisher

Gram, McGough and Stone are the emergencies so Hamill will only play if they pay a fine.

Peckett is a good out. Both Fiora & Goddard are both outside players so can struggle when the pressure is white hot.

Also with Stone on the bench it must mean they are still unsure about Mcguire as he is the only replacement left for them to play down back.

I would have liked to have seen Vogels back this week for Bevan, but I still think we match up quite well with them this time around.

So this means Ackland will play?
Who's his backup ruckman? Jason Blake?

I didn't think about Ackland, Stone has also rucked for St Kilda in the past when they have been desperate so he may also be on the emergencies to cover Ackland as well. Blake is their second ruckman but is more situated to Adam Goodes than Ball & Jolly.

When you look at their side they really are struggling for flexibility if either Hudghton or McGuire go down.

The Saints really do have a lot of players who either haven't played for a while or who are carrying known injuries. That must be a risk for them. They know we play hard man on man and if they run out of players (or some can't lift for the occasion) then it's Freo all over again. I bet Baz will be planning on doing a bit of running around and waiting for a twang behind him.

Maybe even two. Neither Max nor MacGuire would be engendering any confidence in me if I was a Saints fan.

No - never was going to. Hamill was the chance.

Peckett is a good out. [/QUOTE]

I disagree. When the heat is on Peckett resembles a rabbit caught in the headlights. Sorry he's not playing.

Fiora is really bad, often caught out when the pressure is on. As long as we could get the game to become the battle between the less known players, we should win. Our lesser known players are much tougher than theirs.

Just need our better players to contribute as much as their better players. As long as our top-end talents (Hall, Goodes, Davis, Kirk, O'Loughlin, Kennelly, etc...) could hold up well against their peers, we should win.
