    Player assessment

Rok - Brilliant game after a quiet couple of weeks. Tore the Saints up all night.

Closely followed by Schneider stepping up in the last quarter as a crumbing forward.

    Craig Bolton shut Riewoldt out.

Buchanan giving us drive out of the packs.

    Kirk just never giving up.

Jolly and Ball grinding the Saints ruckmen into the ground.

    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

I'm going to find it hard to split the BOG between ROK and B2.
Schneider's cameo in the last quarter was fantastic.
I thought Leo beat Gehrig overall although he was outmuscled a few times.
Kirky - what a player, and great thinking to call the huddle just before they broke for the last quarter. If anyone deserves a Brownlow for consistent week in week out football, its this guy.

Dempster. Good game. Closed down Dal Santo so well after he got on top of Ablett earlier. His in-close agility is surprisingly good.

Davis was good again (despite the miss, I blame Hall for it), 16 disposals.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Forgot to mention Roos. Top game. The effort to asked Hall to give the umpires a spray in the last break was gold. It subdued the umpires and seemed to fire up the team. Behind the nice guy image, there is a tough nut after all.

                  Legs Akimbo - genius...

                  Link

Actually, I suggest we need to make a fundamental decision against the Saints - we control the ruck so do Ball and Jolly punch the ball away from the pack or tap it into the pack?
I think Ball and Jolly did their double team thing superbly again tonight. They continually punched it away from the Sainters around the ball, thereby denying Harvey, Del Santo, Ball, Hayes and co their opportunity to dominate from inside the pack.

These two guys had a big say in our win tonight (was Ball limping at the end of the game).

ROK, Bazza, Leo, Buchanon, Schiender - all champions!

Bring on next week. We'll be flying the red and white at the Kangaroo pub in Hong Kong!

No injuries reported in the match report which is a good thing.

For a player who was under a major injury cloud going into the match, I thought even though Willo only had 12 disposals his 2 goals came at a crucial time.

absolutely. maybe you missed his playing career if you're surprised.

                        roos > champ
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

Brilliant team effort but O'Keefe, C. Bolton and Crouch were outstanding.

Nic Fosdike played a brilliant game. Plenty of crucial touches when St Kilda were getting on top and very calm under pressure - 14 sensational touches
