I don't like to be mean but...

The scrallings on saintsational at the moment are quite humorous.

Did you know that there is a conspiracy in the AFL to let Sydney win the Flag? And despite their rumblings about StK being able to field a far superior side to the Swans even with the injuries they had that it was the injuries that cost them? I could go on but I'll let you read for yourself.

(please excuse any spelling errors and typos, I'm quite pissed)

If there's a AFL conspiracy for us to win the flag, they sure are taking their time about it. I wonder how many threads there will be this week about AFL handouts?

A pro-Sydney conspiracy! Haha. Lets review the facts shall we...

Week 1 - absolutely robbed by McInerney.
Week 2 - sprinklers on the ground in late arvo before the match. We should have lost, but Davo somehow pulls a miracle out of his arse.
Week 3 - 8 to 1 frees in the 3rd quarter. McLaren himself had given 7 - 1 at one stage according to the umpires. As soon as the free kicks stopped, we blew them away in the last quarter.

Am having a look there now. There are some reasonable posts by those who recognise that St Kilda just didn't want it enough and others by those who are angry and/or shattered. A lot of profanity and name calling going on too!

The let down must be really hard for them. In some places they were considering the Swans in the prelim as little more than roadkill on the path to the premiership. Molly Meldrum, a noted Saints fan, has already painted the 2005 premiership cup on his front fence.

The Saints were doing okay in the last few rounds, so they were in with a good chance. That's koros - stability.

After winning their way into the preliminary final, the Saints fans were talking up their chances. Some were even queueing for Grand Final tickets before the prelim had even started. That's hubris - arrogance.

The Saints fans that were queueing for Grand Final tickets in very cold, wet weather. That's ate - madness.

The Saints played the Swans. The Swans brought nemesis - destruction.

And the saints fan who screamed out to me at 3/4 time "71 years of mediocre" got what he deserved.

In the Cheer Squad we were waving goodbye to a lot of Saints fans as they were leaving the ground midway through the last qtr.

Look at the score board - Winners are always grinners - so the humor will obviously be forth coming

Yeh? Take your cottle bottle glasses off and turn your hearing aid up. Haven't you watched any Swans games for the last month? It must be some sort of reverse phsycology - penalise them with as many BS free kicks and they'll win games

You must have been pissed all season and certainly through that game - 2 of the umpires gave a total of 19 free kicks against the swans to 2 free kicks for - they'd obviously been drinking in the bar with you prior to the game.

                      One happy Sten

Sadly, i live, long, long way away from the MCG (and i have a limp !)

Any chance i can have a free grand final ticket ?

just so you know, one of my relations once puked on some bloke, who was at lake oval, at almost the same time that Bobby Skilton walked past !

                          Surely that counts ?

                          Please please

Exactly. If you want conspiracy, I reckon Demetriou is behind all of this in a desperate attempt to save face. When Bazza lifts the premiership cup next weekend, Demetriou is going to look like a complete git.
