Damn right - it's Walls that's changed and not the game plan. The blokes are just more confident and doing it better.
And Walls has the hide to claim credit for a change in the game plan! (Ch 10 after the game).
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Umpiring was a disgrace. By 3QT, between McLaren and Goldspink there were 13-2 free kicks in favour of the Saints (obviously Vozzo was quite reasonable).

The main problem were the non-calls and inconsistency.

Kirk tackles Ball - in the back.
Similar tackle by Hayes on J Bolton - play on.

Mark to Hall in goal square - touched play on!

      Maguire sits on Hall's back.

Gehrig drags Barry to ground, arm draped over shoulder - play on.

Riewoldt falls over - free kick.

Deliberate OOB by Del Santo and Hudghton.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

"[T]here are things that matter more and he's reading and thinking about them: heaven, reincarnation. Life and death are the only things that are truly a matter of life and death. Not football."

what about the soft 50 metre penalties
do umpires just expect the player to let their opponent to just run around and play on? they have no understanding of the game

that lenny hayes goal hurt - could have been very costly IMO

Add: Crouch having his jumper held chasing the ball early in the first quarter. He wasn't happy it was ignored.
