    Sydney Aussie Rules Club Report

    There was a big attendance at the Club for the Saints game. A real sea of Red & White with the loft upstairs absolutely pumping. I got in later than I would of liked around 6pm and as expected all the seating was well and truly gone. Wendy was really nice getting seats out of her office for myself, Mrs Provost, Jeffers1984 and a mate.

    Two blokes from MMM were in attendance and acted as MC for the evening and the Triple M call was blared out of the speakers. At the big break they played trivia handing out team posters for those shouting out the answer, Jeff scored one of those. Erin & Bec's famous bickies were passed around brining lots of good luck to the team as usual.

    Crowd was good and vocal, lots of chants and cheering. A real good effort considering JF was at the MCG. The hand full of Saint supporters were very vocal almost being heard singing there songs over the rest of us but at the end they were graceful in defeat.

    Media types were taking photos of us all and a camera was filming the crowds reaction to the play. Didn't catch who they were working for. If any one can shed light on this please do as I would like to see it when it goes to air and the pics are in the paper.

    A real good night and for those of us not making the journey south next week I recommend you come in and be a part of history at the Sydney Swans Aussie Rules Club. You will be amoungst friends

    Josh Massoud with The Daily Telegraph covered the night on page 4 of Saturdays paper. Both the Aussie Rules Club and the Alexandria Hotel got a mention with pics of the crowd at each.

    The article misquoted the chant that was being yelled at the ARC. They have it as "Bring on the Melbourne game! Bring on the Melbourne game!"

    When I know we were shouting;
    "WE'RE GOING TO MELBOURNE!"

    How many other Sydney RWOers were present?

      Oh yeah. Then I rode my motorcycle over to the SCG and caught up with Erinn and the others in the line overnight. I just didn't want last night to end.
