    Player Ratings

Are these written by a St Kilda Member or what? Cain Ackland... great tapwork, but our ruckmen, ineffective?? Look at the hitouts? I'm sure we came out on top, what a joke!

Its all about that damn Melbournism (sorry Melb Swans supporters!) Makes me sick!

From the ratings, I thought we were comprehensively beaten by them. What a joke is that.

Keep underestimating us Melbourne. You can even put an asterisk next to our name if we happen to win next week

No - we were beaten in hitouts.

            Ackland 22
            Blake 14

            Jolly 17
            Ball 14
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

              the ratings are a joke!!

              - Bally/jolly being 'outjumped' or not having best performances!?!? ...it was one of their best performances and their hitouts in the last swung the match

              - Dempstr "little impact"...now i hadnt been convinced of dempsters place or rrole in the team but i thouhgt he stepped up and was incredibly solid in alot of tense times in the first 3 quarters and made a big impact.

              - kirky .... "Copped a blow to the head in first quarter & had little impact after" LITTLE IMPACT?? maybe not on the field, but he was still holding the ball up in and under in the stoppages and that speech before the last..i dont even have to say

              - LRT .." never worked into the game" .. he provided another man upfront , a tall option and took some of the focus of our other forawaards

A role that rarely gets the recognition it deserves - standing around. One of the better ones at it our LRT.

Dempster was superb. Closing Dal Santo down so well. He does offer some versatily that we need. A strong mobile body in the midle who could play tight. Very useful against an opposing big body midfielder.

I know all you ever try to achieve with each and every one of your posts is a laugh from someone, but if you look back at the beginning of 2004, ROK played this role. He was the decoy leading forward to open space for our other forwards. It is a team-oriented role. It is not one for personal glory.

LRT had no obvious matchup with Goddard playing on kennelly for most of the match, so he played a role that required a half-decent defender to mark him who could no longer just soley concentrate on being 3rd man up in front of Hall, ROK and Davis. Give the kid a break.

LRT will be needed next week in defence, so we'll see if he recaptures some form/confidence.

Much as I enjoy bagging LRT, he is capable of better than he has been showing recently. I hope he lifts for the GF.

LRT had no obvious matchup in defence with Hamill out so he went up in the forward line. Jumped for a few marks but didn't hang on to them.

The hitouts stat is a quite surprising to me. All I seem to recall is Ball/Jolly just smashing the ball forward from the centre bounces.
