Now that the Swans have made the Grand Final it would only be fitting that Robert Walls and Andrew Demitriou make a formal apology to Paul Roos and the entire Sydney Swans Football for their ridiculous mid season comments!

FIN REVIEW
Demetriou acknowledged he had copped plenty of ribbing about his early-season criticisms, both from friends in Sydney and some not-so-friendly Sydneysiders.
"I went to the game last week and there was a lot of strangers who came up to me, so I wouldn't just confine it to mates," he said.
"Look, it's good, they have been fantastic, particularly in the second half of the season, just fantastic."
So, does Demetriou concede he was wrong about the Swans?
"It doesn't really matter what I think, does it?" he said.
"The proof's in the pudding, they've done well to get to the grand final and we should really congratulate them." -

They werent wrong. We were playing ordinary football, based on a flawed game plan, which was only wining 50% of games back then.
We tweaked the game plan, and now look at us.Comment

Whether there were mistakes in the game plan or it was simply being executed badly or some combination of the two, none of us really know, but Walls and Demetriou were right in that we were playing ugly football and would not make the GF playing that way.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

I hardly think Walls the type to apologise. That pr**k is one of the media commentators saying that Baz should go this week.

I have to say, I'm not buzzing about being in the Grannie as revenge on Walls or Vlad.
You folks are taking away all the good karma out of this by harbouring the flippant thoughts of a couple of the AFL's underwhelming intellects.
I have little time for Vlad, but if we win on Saturday, I'd dead-set give the guy a hug. Who cares what he said back then, he's changed his tune, how many times does he have to say it????
As for Walls, well his stinging articles hold true to form, we turned it around from that moment...why complain, the timing was perfect. We should be thanking him!The Pain of Discipline is Nothing Like The Pain of DisappointmentComment

The criticisms related to gameplan. The many posters here were right - it wasn't the gameplan - we were just playing really crappily!Comment
