    Injuries

There's no doubt a good run with injuries is crucial to a sides success

It's no coincidence that the bottom two sides last year were also the sides with the longest injury lists

Undoubtedly the following is a good sign for the Swans

    SYDNEY
    Stephen Doyle (knee) - indefinite
    Ben Fixter (foot) - test
    Matthew Nicks (back) - test
    Ryan O'Keefe (ankle) - test

Doyle the only long term concern
The more we can keep our best team on the park the more competitive we will be this year

One of my criticisms of Eade was that he always seemed to play unfit players - they'd end up going backwards with fitness - by this time of year often the team would be looking a bit spent.

Younger players and not driving them into the ground seems to be keeping the fitness up.

Not playing half fit players seems to be shortening our injury list.

Should keep Meiklejohn in to ease the pressure on Goodes & Ball - long season don't want to run them into the ground
You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

Herald Sun (Melb) listed James' injury as indefinite. Make of it as you will.
Only 9 notes? How easy can it be!

James is a rookie and I don't think The Age (Realfooty) bothers to list them.

BTW I checked acouple of other clubs official sites and they had their injury lists up on Monday. Nothing from Sydney. A bit pathetic, really.

James is a rookie and listed by mistake in this weeks Inside Football (or do they now name injured rookies), by what I have heard he will not play this week the staff want to take it a bit easier with him and make sure it is all OK (so maybe the following week). He resumes full training next week.
