    AFL 4, Swans 0

Not bad for a single finals series:

R1 Umpires gift the game to the Eagles then admit that they were wrong with the decision against the Swans. Swans lose by 4.

R2 At the request of the Cats, the AFL has the ground watered but doesn't bother to tell the Swans. They arrive ready for a dry playing field while their opponents are ready for a wet one.

R3 Goldspink frees 6:1 against the Swans and McLaren 7:1 against the Swans at 3/4 time.

Pre-grand final: AFL tribunal suspends the Sydney captain for one match for a very similar incident to one they had let off several Melbourne-based players this season.

Premier Iemma suggested a conspiracy against Sydney. It's hard to reach any other conclusion.

It will get worse. Goldspink and McLaren will get the grand final.

I've always thought the vfl want a perth team to win the flag this year, so it will blunt the impact in town of the new rugby superwhatever it is next year...
Nothing else could explain the shameful umpiring display by McInnerney et al in Perth a couple of weeks ago...or this latest attempt to upset the swannies' preparation for the game...
...the good news is that Bazza had a stinker against the weagles three weeks ago, yet only disgraceful umpiring stopped us from winning at Subie...so Hall may be lost...but certainly not all!
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

Oh, just one other thing....what happens if Bazza comes first in the Browlow tonight?

I wonder what instructions Demetriou has been giving behind closed doors?

Would love him to get up and accept the medal, thank all his team mates and loyal supporters of the red and white and then calmly tell Eddie that he is leaving to get an early nights sleep before his big day tomorrow.

No media engagements or photo's etc.

That would really p*ss off the AFL no end.

                      His conclusion is specious.

(Also didn't the SCG Trust water the ground not the AFL?)
(Additionally, the key precedent is the suspension of a Melbourne-based player)
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

"At the request of the Cats, the AFL has the ground watered" - did this have anything to do with the AFL or just the SCG?

Specious? I was just agreeing with my Premier.

The Cats wanted the ground watered so they approached the AFL as it's their match (as a final) and they ordered it watered by the SCG.

I thought that the AFL had said that the Gehrig decision was wrong?

I never said any of his comments were incorrect, I was refering to this kind of stuff:
