Ray Chesterton - out of touch

I was reading Ray Chesterton in the Telegraph today and he spewed out a load of rubbish saying that the Swans have only been around since 1982 and that winning the flag on Saturday would be the Swans first flag ever. He also wondered why we are counting Souths' pervious triumphs. Because we won those as the Swans, regardles of whether it was as South or Sydney. I wonder what famous players like Bobby Skilton would think if all their previous hard work for the club would count for nothing simply because the club moved in the eyes of a lunatic journo.

In closing, Ray Chesterton is a giant tool.

I'm willing to accept the argument as long as every team that changes home grounds also starts afresh.

So that means now all of carltons 16 premierships are now gone now they dont play at Optus Oval.

As a league supporter and a reader of the daily telegraph,i usually don't mind Ray Chesterton articles.

              They are entertaining.

But the one on the Swans was dumb IMO.
Well done Craig Bolton for getting the co- captaincy in 2008.

Your determination, your tenacity and your under-rated skill is why you have become my favourite player!

During grand final week there should be a ban on league journalists writing articles about the Swans and/or the AFL.

Having to read the likes of Walls is hard enough without the prejudiced drivel offered up by Chesterton, Masters and Mike Gibson et al.

Unfortunately the Hall stuff has a bad Roy Masters article written all over it.

That Chesterton article was a case in point - South fans should read this to understand the mentality of league types up here.

As a league supporter, and as such a "league type" the ramblings of Chesterton, et tal doesn't represent me, but more one person with a blinkered view on some sports.

I wonder when the Western Bulldogs will win their first flag.

I guess they did only join the league in 1997 though.

                            To rework an old expression:-
You can take the Swans out of South Melbourne but you CAN'T take South Melbourne out of the Swans.
To do so we deny our heritage.
