    A Simple Question

im finding it frustrating this hall stuff, everyone from us here, to opposition fans, to footy "experts" can speculate all day long, but it will simply come down to a decision by a few if hall plays, i just want to know for sure if he is.

But time for some honesty, if hall DOESNT play will the swans win the premiership???

      Yep. Just ask John Longmire.
Vicky Pollard: Oh my god I so can't believe you just said that this is like the time I threw Anita's nokia in the canal as a joke and she's like you have well got to buy me another one and I'm like get over it and then Paul came over who's adopted anyway and started saying that I fancy Mark Bennett but oh my god just because I have sex with someone doesn't mean I fancy them.

Would have been more confident if Vogels could come in if Hall's out, but still yes.

The swans are a great team! We will cover the loss if it happens! As our club song remonstrates "onward to victory"

Obviously it makes it tougher. But we'd still be a chance.

If we were playing an Adelaide or a Saint Kilda I'd probably say no but the fact that it's the Eagles and it's not at Subiaco makes me say yes.

Absolutely. While I still hold out hope for Baz, he is not the only one playing out there. There's going to be 22 fired up Swans running out onto the MCG on Saturday, and each one of them is going to be hungry for it. To suggest that we are automatically no chance if Hall is out is disrespecting the other fine players we have in the side. With all due respect to Barry (and he is VERY important to our side), he is not in the same class as Lockett, Kelly or Roos from the '96 team.

If we are forced to play without Barry, it will just make us more unpredictable. Schauble to return from the dead (or reserves, whichever is more comical)? Ball to go back to his old position of full-forward? Some of the more quiet contributors will have to stand up too. Micky O, Nick Davis, ROK, Goodes are all capable of kicking 4-5 goals each. Where are the goals from our midfielders? Willo, Noggy, Jude?

If they can't fire up for this game, we've lost it even before Barry's hearing tomorrow night.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

I think West Coast is one of the few teams we can actually beat without Hall. Still it will be very tough, so hopefully we don't have to find out if we can.

Let me tell you a story.

SANFL 1997. Going into the finals, Norwood were favourites to win their first flag since 1984.

Norwood, despite being the clear form team of the comp, had been rolled by Port Adelaide in the 2nd semi final and had to back up in the Prelim to earn the right to take on Port again in the GF.

In the course of that prelim final, Norwood's veteran captain Garry McIntosh, a reformed bad boy (many, many suspensions in the early years of his playing career, progressively fewer as it went on) was cited for striking. He received 1 match. The Tribunal member sadly noted that there was no point in giving him more, because he was going to miss perhaps the most important game of his (over 300-game) career.

Many people thought that without Macca's fearless leadership, Norwood would wilt, particularly because they were playing a team that had beaten them just a fortnight before.

The team banner through which the team ran read simply, "DO IT FOR MACCA."

                      Final score:
                      Norwood 19.12 (126)
                      Port Adelaide 7.11 (53).

So can we do it without Bazza if we have to? Bloody oath we can!

of course we can, it just depends on how it effects the others leading up to game

i'm confident that we can overcome it and have a win
