    Minor changes

I hope that Roos is meditating right now and not panicking as we are. We have a very set structure (within loose parameters) and I don't think that can change. So, presuming all the others are okay, I say Schauble in and Hall out (if that's what's decided tomorrow).

That would throw the burden back onto the Eagles. Schaubs ain't Baz but he can kick and he's great in a marking battle. So do they put Glass on him - or move him out of position? With luck, Schaubs may kick a couple. And, as it has for most of the finals, the onus comes onto the other goalkickers.

And, this would be odd, it's likely that Schaubs might attract more frees for than Baz would.

The other possibility is to put Goodes in for Baz as he has a less defined role - and bring in another midfielder. But I can't see Adam getting the better of Glass much when they go toe to toe. We need an expert in goalsquare duels (and the rules of combat down there) and Schaubs is the man.

I would like to see schaubs back in but there is not a snowlfakes in hell. Schauble has obviously devoured one of Roosys children or something otherwise he would have at least gotten one run by now. There is a better chance of plugger playing at CHF this week.

Goodes to CHF with the same roving commission that Hall has. He wouldn't be expected to kick five or six as Baz might, though. Kick LONG to Davis, O'Loughlin and O'Keefe - they'll need to kick 10 between them if we are to win.

Dont think Shauble is the answer because he would be a perfect match up for Glass. I reckon Jolly will have to play more on the ball and rotate Goodes, Ball and LRT(not joking) thru full forward.

Our best hope is to mix it up and continually rotate the forwards up and down the ground.

Problem with Goodes at CHF is we lose a 'midfielder' and we can't really afford to do this.

Another option is to simply go small in the forward line. Bring in Malceski for Hall.

Seeing that Vogels was injured in the reserves grand final it is highly unlikely he will be available. IMO, bring in Schauble to at leats add a tall in our foward line, keep him in the goal square to take their key defender (Glass) away so MOL and ROK can have their 2nd and 3rd defenders.

At worst we have another 'tall' to play on the WC forwards comprising Gardiner, Seaby, Hanson, Hunter, Cox etc.

            BRING IN SCHAUBLE!!

if Vogel's injury isn't serious, would you play him?

It's a big call and HUUUGE shoes to fill for Barry Hall. Perhaps too much so for a first year player.

IMO, Schauble has the experience to handle the situation better and we have a ready made tall backman and a forward. Schaubs does add more flexability to the side than Vogels.

Good point too. I would bring in Malceski for Bevan. It was noticable when we played WC in Perth 2 weeks back, that the likes of Judd, Kerr etc. had to much speed carrying the ball away from the packs. As soon as they got clean possession, they had a couple of metres on us before we knew what was going on.

More pace in the midfield, would be beneficial.

plus he has a bit of class and polish. i have only seen him from what he has done this yr and he looks really impressive - that bullet pass at telstra stadium was sensational!

i guess it'll come down to matchups from a match committee POV and i have a feeling that bevo may get a gig due to his tackling and pressure skills. plus he may be a 2nd or 3rd option for sampi

I'm still expecting Baz to get off - we're not playing netball here surely.

As for who to bring in if the unthinkable occurs, didn't Malceski get hurt on the weekend as well.

What about the other forgotten star of the team, Jason Saddington???
He's a tall and can play forward as well.

Worst case scenario if we lose Hall it should be Schauble who comes in I don't think re-arranging the backline to accomadate Schauble early on is so good maybe Schauble to half forward rotating with Goodes for periods and Jolly & Ball for short stints there as well.
Hope it doesn't come to this
