we've had high clouds though pretty much all day... saturday's forecast is late rain max 19... which in melbourne terms is utterly meaningless... rain would help us a little though... but the more I think of it - and as much as I don't wanna be like an over confident collingwood supporter type - I think the weather will have little if any influence on the result... we'll take good care of the wiggles, I reckon... 6 goals minimum...

I reckon that talk like "6 goals minimum" is what Saints fans were saying before Fri night, i.e. that kind of overconfidence is cruisin' for a bruisin'.

However, I also reckon that the Weagles are just about the only team in the comp that we have an advantage against in the wet. The Swans play a very dry-weather style of footy and struggle to adjust to the wet (too often continuing to play as if it was dry)... it's just that the Weagles are even worse when it pours.

On the basis that it did 'em no good last year, I suppose we're hoping for a dry (but foreboding) first half, and then the mother of all electrical storms hitting at half time!

        Friday

        Saturday

Its the players I worry about. And I think the Saints players were thinking "6 goals minimum".

No way in the world the Swans players will be thinking that.

            Saturday
An early shower clearing to a mostly fine day, but late rain developing. Min
            11 Max 19

This afternoon's forecast still sounds good for the game, bad for the after party.

It's raining heavily now - would expect that it will not be a really hard track on Satdee

Rain is passing through Melbourne right now. The ground will be good for Saturday with a bit of give in it. Certainly not rock hard like Subiaco.

Isn't that what we want against WCE a bit of give in the ground to take away WCE leg speed in the centre of the ground..................sounds ideal to me make it a scrap in the centre.
Hopefully our legs last the whole game after so many tough matches!
