    wirrpunda

one of my favourite players to watch. hope he snaps a hammy in the first five minutes on saturday.

sounds a bit nervous and distracted to me.
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

"The All-Australian was involved in a controversial tackle on Adam Goodes in the final minutes of West Coast's tight win over the Swans in the first week of the finals, but he said he would do it again in the same circumstances.

"His shoe-laces were undone, and I was bending down to do his shoe-laces up for him," he grinned.

"I don't know - it was just a heated moment, and I had to do what I had to do, and if I had to do it again, I wouldn't stop. It just had to be done, and with the way I handled it, it was just awkward that he was falling and I fell over with him, we had a quick chat, got up and we got on with the game.

"(My heart) jumped out of my mouth. The first thing I did was look at the umpire - 'don't do nothing' - but it was all good, it was all good and 'Cuzzy' (Ben Cousins) ended up getting a free kick, so my heart went back to the normal beat." "

Nice to admit to cheating against a brother.

From all reports an oustanding person too - real poster boy for the indigenous community.

Hope he does an ankle walking up the players race or hit by debris from the obligatory flyover.

LOL but i now regret my tongue-in-cheek wish. i hope he plays well without injury and enjoys the first three quarters of the match.

It might almost be worth 'tagging' Wirrpunda with Adam Goodes.

It'd create a real mismatch in any marking duel, and would prevent Wirrpunda playing the sweeper role at which he excels.

With Wirrpunda tagged out and Hunter playing up forward, our forward line could tear the Eagles defence to shreds.

            Not fast enough IMO.

Schneider. Tag him as an "offensive defender". Instructions: "Play him as if he is a forward or attacking midfielder. Limit his use of the ball. And if you get it, try to score."

I always believe that good players attract the ball. Being close to good players gives lesser players the opportunity to get the ball themselves. As long as they play the man closely, and dont run off after the ball, thinking they are better than their opponent.

            Cases in point:
            1. Kirk in his tagging days.
            2. Williams on Judd in last years EF.
            3. Schneider "on" Wirrpunda in Round 17.
