    everitt

is apparently being offered as a trade option down at the hawks. i can see him fitting into our team very nicely what with ball's retirement and his strength around the ground (and down back)

i have no idea really what we'd have to offer the hawks. we won't have much of a draft pick to trade this year, so who are the melbourne boys that might want to go home?
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

        Saddo. Hopefully not ROK.

Surprised they would offer him up though. I think its a hoax.

Is ROK still under contract next year?

No use getting Everitt, 4 or so years too late and they would be asking too much for him.

Straight swap for Doyle and maybe another lesser player? I reckon he still has at least 2-3 years in him personally. Was superb this year.

Everitt and Crawford for ROK would be OK, if we wanted to 'top up' for back-to-back.

We're in the grand final and already talking trades? Only on RWO! I swear, if we win on Saturday the 'GF Negatives' thread will be longer than the "GF Positives" thread!

Everitt? Tempting with Ball retiring, but too old. My opinion of him went up after his "Free Barry" sign, though

What if he gets another BOG on Sat, and therefore the Norm Smith.

I really hate trade talk with ROK, but only because we sat near him at home games in the 2002 and 2003 seasons, when struggled to get game time. Seemed so intent on being out there... I think he REALLY loves the club.

I have seen Spider with his kids, and I don't think he would leave them to live in Sydney.

But is ROK still under contract? If he's not he might attract some big offers from Vic clubs given his much improved form over the past 2 years.

What difference does it make? Contracted players can be traded, except the conditions must be agreed by both parties, and sometimes this mean the current club pays part of the salary ongoing.

I dont think he should go. He is worth more to us than his trade value, unless a gun midfielder is offered up (as in top 2 midfielder in any team).

Way too early to be talking trades, but if some supporters believe we can trade our fringe players e.g. Doyle, Saddington for someone like Everitt, you've gotta be kidding me.

Here's another 'rumour': according to HHQ, a deal has already been done for Nick Ries.
