The rec footy comps are starting up around sydney over the next month or so - some comps are mixed, some single gender. I know out west they're hoping to get a SWAFL team happening for next year following from the women's comp (starting Monday yay!), and I think a lot of the other comps are aiming just to increase interest etc. Looks like it'll be quite a good experiment so check them out!

Lol Pekay must agree with you there! When I rocked up with my boys in August, a couple asked why we hadn't brought beach towels and sun lounges for a day at the beach cos the oval sure as hell didn't look right for footy!

I've been waiting for 4 years to start playing rules again (4 years being uni meaning no time). Just when im about to finish the degree, ive got myself osteitis pubis from playing soccer. I just hope it can go away by next year.
